    摘要: A process for the removal of carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide and alkyl mercaptans from a hydrocarbon-containing feed gas:(a) contacting the feed gas with an adsorbent capable of removing hydrogen sulfide and alkyl mercaptans from the feed gas at effective conditions to produce a treated gas having reduced concentrations of hydrogen sulfide alkyl mercaptans;(b) contacting the treated gas with a liquid medium capable of removing carbon dioxide hydrogen sulfide and alkyl mercaptans from the treated gas at effective conditions to produce a product gas having reduced concentrations of carbon dioxide hydrogen sulfide and alkyl mercaptans;(c) contacting a spent absorbent laden with hydrogen sulfide and alkyl mercaptans with a normally liquid fraction at effective desorption conditions to produce a regenerated adsorbent and a regeneration effluent having increased concentrations of hydrogen sulfide and alkyl mercaptans; and(d) utilizing the regenerated adsorbent as at least a portion of the adsorbent in step (a).

    摘要: A method for the recovery of ethylene from an off-gas is provided. This method includes providing an ethylene containing feed gas stream, introducing the ethylene containing gas stream into a first cryogenic separation device, thereby producing a first condensed stream and a first ethylene poor stream, and introducing the ethylene poor stream into a first feed compressor, thereby producing a pressurized first ethylene poor stream. This is repeated three times, resulting in a pressurized third ethylene poor stream, which is introduced into a pressure swing adsorber, thereby producing a high purity hydrogen stream and a PSA tail gas stream. The PSA tail gas stream is into a PSA tail gas compressor, thereby producing a pressurized PSA tail gas stream, which is then combined with an ethylene containing gas stream to produce the ethylene containing feed gas stream. The first condensed stream, the second condensed stream and the third condensed stream are combined to produce a combined condensed stream, which is introduced into an ethylene separation column thereby producing an ethylene rich stream and a methane rich stream. The methane rich stream is introduced into a methane compressor thereby producing a methane fuel stream.

The method also includes combusting the reformer fuel stream to the SMR, thereby producing a flue gas that is essentially free of CO2.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to an improved process for the removal of acid gases from gas mixtures which significantly decreases the consumption of heat needed for regenerating the rich alkaline scrubbing solution which is used to remove the acid gases from the gas mixtures. The process comprises passing one portion of the scrubbing solution through a steam stripping section and another portion of the scrubbing solution through a flashing section for regeneration wherein the overhead vapors from the steam stripping section are used to heat and strip the scrubbing solution in the flashing section and heat contained within the regenerated scrubbing solution coming from the steam stripping section is utilized to aid in the regeneration of the scrubbing solution in the flashing section.
