Abstract: A pump for delivering fluid from a reservoir to a patient includes at least one pumping syringe having a barrel and a plunger movable through the barrel and at least one actuator for moving the plunger through the barrel to draw the fluid from the reservoir into the barrel and to expel the fluid from the barrel towards the patient. The pump also includes at least one inflow valve between the reservoir and the barrel of the at least one pumping syringe that opens when the plunger moves to aspirate the fluid from the reservoir into the barrel; and at least one outflow valve between the barrel of the at least one pumping syringe and the patient that opens when the plunger moves to expel the fluid from the barrel of the at least one pumping syringe towards the patient.

Abstract: A cap is described for connection to a medical connector, the cap includes a housing having a top wall and sidewall forming a cavity, and an integrally formed protrusion. The protrusion includes an inner thread on an inner surface, the inner thread being sufficient to interlock with a mating feature of a female needleless connector. Abstract: A multi-piece plunger configured to be slideably advanced through a syringe barrel to expel fluid therefrom is provided. The plunger includes a head portion having a proximal end, a distal end, and an annular sidewall extending therebetween. The sidewall can define at least two annular grooves. The plunger also includes annular seals disposed within each of the at least two annular grooves, such that at least a portion of each of the annular seals protrudes radially beyond an outer surface of the sidewall to form a slideable seal with an inner sidewall of the syringe barrel. The head portion can be formed from a first material, such as a rigid plastic material, and the annular seals can be formed from a second material, such as a thermoset rubber or a thermoplastic elastomer. A prefilled syringe including the multi-piece plunger is also provided herein.

Abstract: Packaging for medical consumables includes a plurality of cells arranged in a lattice, each of the cells comprising a sidewall having a plurality of walls, and a top barrier film covering open ends of the plurality of cells to maintain a sterile environment within the plurality of cells. The sidewalls and the top barrier film are shaped so as to constrain a consumable contained within each of the plurality of cells to zero degrees of freedom. At least one of the plurality of walls of each cell is shared with a bordering cell. The sidewall of each cell defines a gap for insertion of an end effector of a robotic arm.
