摘要: Several gate panels are pivotably mounted on top of a dam spillway which are raised against the force of water by inflatable bladders. The bladders are integrally vulcanized envelopes. A unique method of inflatable bladder reinforcement is disclosed. Improvements in connecting the gate panels to the air bladder, to the restraining straps, to each other, and to the dam spillway are disclosed. Improvements in gate panel construction are disclosed.

摘要: The present invention relates to inflatable bladder actuated water control gates for control of open channels such as rivers and canals and for control of dam spillways without the need for intermediate piers. The air bladder and hinge flap wedge clamping system includes hinged engagement of the upstream edge of the clamps to the foundation so as to prevent the application of bending and shear loads to the anchor bolts. The resulting configuration facilitates the use of high strength alloy steel anchor bolts in a corrosion protected environment and also prevents tensile loading of the concrete foundation and associated cracking of the concrete foundation.

摘要: A water control gate pivotable about a horizontal axis. Control may be by a combination of inflatable actuators and ballast chambers in combination with means for preventing over-rotation. Sealing between gate panels and between gate panels and abutments may be by means of seals inflated hydrostatically. The present invention is bottom hinged water control gate actuated by a combination of ballast chambers and inflatable actuators. The invention further includes an inflatable sealing means. The invention is particularly suited for use as a navigation lock gate system or as a flood control gate in a watercourse such as a navigation canal.

摘要: The invention relates to a roadway flood protection and traffic barrier which provides a smooth upper surface for vehicles, pedestrians, etc. and is thin enough to be mounted to the surface of an existing roadway or parking garage ramp, for example. A hinge mechanism is disclosed which facilitates the provision of a smooth roadway surface as well as a tight seal. A locking strut is provided that keeps the gate panels raised even in case of air pressure loss and which is remotely controllable.

The joystick may comprise elements movable with respect to each other in at least, e.g., three degrees of freedom and comprise ionically conductive elements that are utilized to generate a position signal in, e.g., at least three, or at least six degrees of freedom. Various ergonomic configurations of six axis joystick embodiments which may be facilitated by the compact design of the transducer means are disclosed. Means for dynamically adjusting coordinate transformations for construction machinery control are also disclosed.
