Abstract: A fuel cell system includes: a fuel cell; a temperature acquisition unit that acquires a temperature at a specific position in a vehicle equipped with the fuel cell system; a purge unit that purges the fuel cell when an operation of the fuel cell is stopped; and a control unit that acquires the temperature at the specific position from the temperature acquisition unit at least once from when the fuel cell system is stopped until the fuel cell system is started again, and uses the temperature at the specific position to determine whether purging at a stop by the purge unit is necessary when the fuel cell system is stopped next.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for a fuel cell including a fuel desulfurization system. The method includes receiving fuel from a fuel source in a first phase and depressurizing the fuel in the first phase in a vacuum system to convert at least a portion of the fuel into a second phase. The method further includes reforming the portion of the fuel in the second phase to create a hydrogen enriched fuel in the second phase, and delivering the hydrogen enriched fuel in the second phase to a fuel cell stack.

Abstract: A stack case includes a lower surface and at least one through hole. The lower surface is at a bottom of the stack case in a vehicle height direction of the vehicle. The at least one through hole opens to an inside of the stack case. An outer opening opens to an outside of a vehicle. The at least one vent pipe has one end and another end opposite to the one end along a length of the at least one vent pipe. The one end is connected to the at least one through hole provided in the stack case. The another end is connected to the outer opening in the vehicle body. The drain hole is provided in the lower surface of the stack case to be open to an inside of a motor compartment. The drain hole is located below the outer opening in the vehicle height direction.
