The firearm contains a lower receiver containing a first opening, wherein the first opening is configured to accommodate a firing mechanism, an upper receiver removably coupled with the lower receiver, a barrel removably coupled with the upper receiver, a bolt carrier assembly positioned within the upper receiver, wherein the bolt carrier assembly is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position, wherein the bolt carrier assembly contains a rear surface, wherein the rear surface of the bolt carrier assembly is positioned between the barrel and the first opening when the bolt carrier assembly is in the locked position.

    Abstract: In one aspect, a firearm grip may include an elongated grip body that includes a front side, a rear side, and opposing sides. The grip body may further include a front notch, side notches and a rear notch. A flange is formed on each side of the grip body between the rear notch and side notches. The front notch may include a first front securing edge and a second front securing edge. Likewise, the rear notch may include a first rear securing edge and a second rear securing edge. In one embodiment, the first front securing edge of the front notch and the first rear securing edge of the rear notch are configured to lean against the uneven surface, such as the edge of the desk to stabilize the firearm.

    Abstract: A Firearm grip that attaches underneath a handguard and helps stabilize shooting with as little as one finger on the grip. The grip has a rail channel on the top portion, while the lower portion is circular shaped, extending downward and parallel with the firearm barrel. The top and lower portions of the device are one solid piece. The front and back of the circular portion contain separate voids. On each side of the voids are positions to mount a sling clip. A swivel sling attachment can be mounted to the bottom center of the circular portion.

    Abstract: The disclosure provides a mounting assembly for a handguard mounted on a barrel nut of a firearm. The handguard defines a gap over a portion of the barrel nut and includes first and second portions at respective first and second sides of the gap. The mounting assembly includes a tie rod extending between the first and second sides of the gap along a longitudinal axis of the tie rod and a first fastener, distinct from the tie rod, interconnecting a first end of the tie rod to the first portion of the handguard. A second end of the tie rod is interconnected to the second portion of the handguard and actuation of the first fastener in a tightening direction draws the first and second portions of the handguard toward each other and generates tension in the tie rod.

    Abstract: A firearm stock with barrel-centering feature has an elongated body defining an elongated receiver channel and an elongated barrel channel, the receiver channel defined in part by a flat floor surface facing in upward direction, the receiver channel defined in part by opposed sidewalls extending above the floor surface, a fastener facility at the rear of the receiver channel operable to connect to the tang of the receiver, and a lateral adjustment facility forward of the fastener facility and operable to secure the receiver in a selected lateral angle of pivot about the fastener facility, such that the barrel is centerable within the barrel channel to avoid the barrel touching the stock. The lateral adjustment facility may include a set screw having an axis parallel to the floor surface of the stock. A pair of set screws opposing each other may secure the action in a selected lateral position.

    Abstract: A firearm grip with selector switch lock includes a handgrip for engaging a firearm receiver having a selector switch. A switch engagement unit is positioned within the handgrip. The switch engagement unit including a motor, piston, spring and detent for selectively engaging the selector switch of the receiver to which the handgrip is located. An RFID interrogator is positioned within the handgrip and communicates with a portable RFID chip. Upon detecting the presence of the RFID chip, the switch engagement unit moves the piston to the retracted position for manual free operation of the selector switch. Upon detecting the RFID chip is not within the proximity of the handgrip, the switch engagement unit moves the piston to the extended/SAFE position. A replacement selector switch having a torque limiter is provided.

    Abstract: A double-walled handguard for a firearm includes an inner tube and an outer tube connected by longitudinally-extending struts. A circumferential gap is formed between the inner and outer tubes. The handguard can be extruded as a blank and feature such as accessory rails and accessory mounting apertures can be machined into the blank to arrive at the desired configuration. Vent holes may be machined into the outer tube to provide a venting path for hot air in the circumferential gap. The double-walled handguard is expected to have increased strength compared to a single-walled handguard and better shield the user's hands from heat generated by the barrel of the firearm.
