Abstract: A method for simulating a candle flame with at least one computing device. The method may include controlling at least one lighting element according to at least a current wind value and a current flame value. The method may include controlling the current wind value and the current flame value by iteratively determining whether a first event occurred. When the first event is determined to have occurred, the method may include setting the current wind value to a random wind value and then changing the current wind value toward a baseline wind value. When the first event is determined to have not occurred, the method may include changing the current wind value toward the baseline wind value, determining whether a second event occurred. When the second event is determined to have occurred, the method may include setting the current flame value to a random flame value.

Abstract: An electronic scented candle is described that includes a movable flame-shaped component, a shell including an installation chamber, a fragrance container that is removably positioned inside the installation chamber and a scent chamber. An electric fan is positioned within the shell to drive the air into the scent chamber and a scent outlet coupled to the scent chamber to allow the fragrance material to leave the scent chamber and to reach an external environment of the electronic scented candle. The electronic candle also includes a receptacle for connecting a power cord on a bottom surface of the electronic candle. The bottom surface includes a plurality of protruding stands that provide a space to allow the power cord to be connected to the receptacle and be routed below the bottom surface.

Abstract: A flame simulation method including: identifying, by a computing device, a maximum brightness level value and a primary event generation level; setting, in response to determining that a first event occurred based on the primary event generation level, a secondary event generation level; adjusting the secondary event generation level towards a baseline secondary event generation level; adjusting a current brightness value of a lighting element of a flame simulation apparatus towards the maximum brightness level value; setting, in response to determining that a second event occurred based on the secondary event generation level, the current brightness level value of the lighting element to a value less than the maximum brightness level; and controlling, by the computing device, a brightness level of the lighting element to correspond to the current brightness level value of the lighting element.

Abstract: A flame simulating assembly is provided with a reflected flickering light that includes only one light source. Light from the light source passes through a rotating flicker element onto one or more reflectors, or mirrors, that reflect light up onto a simulated fuel bed and the some of the light is reflected off of the flicker elements towards a flame screen to create a simulated flame. The dipping flicker elements creates a fluttering light effect due to the flicker elements “intermittently dipping” into the light path. This fluctuating light is reflected onto the logs and ember bed in front and creates a dancing effect, which simulates glowing embers.
