摘要: A system for monitoring conditions in a wellbore includes a sensor assembly and a controller assembly. The sensor assembly attaches to a portion of a casing disposed in the wellbore and includes a sensor module and an inductive module. The sensor module measures conditions in the wellbore and the inductive module forms a wireless communication channel. The inductive module includes a first set of inductive coils and a second set of inductive coils that substantially surround the first set of inductive coils. The controller assembly attaches to a portion of a production tube housed within the casing and includes at least one coil inductively coupled to the inductive module, and communicates signals over the wireless communication channel.

摘要: A method of monitoring a protective fluid of a wellbore tool includes flowing, by a sensor or a fluid moving device secured to a wellbore tool disposed at a downhole location within a wellbore, a portion of a protective fluid of the wellbore tool through a body of the sensor. The portion of the protective fluid is exposed to the body of the sensor responsive to the flowing. The protective fluid degrades over time responsive to the wellbore tool performing operations in the wellbore. The method also includes, in response to the protective fluid being exposed to the body of the sensor, determining, at least in part by the sensor, a degradation level of the protective fluid. The method also includes transmitting, by the sensor or a device communicatively coupled to the sensor, the determined degradation level to a surface of the wellbore.

摘要: A system for producing hydrocarbons from a subterranean well includes an electrical submersible pump assembly with a pump, intake, protector, and motor. A production tubing is in fluid communication with the electrical submersible pump assembly and has an inner bore sized to deliver fluids from the electrical submersible pump assembly to a wellhead assembly. A packer assembly is located between the pump and the intake, the packer assembly moveable to an expanded position with an outer diameter in sealing engagement with an inner diameter of an outer tubular member.

摘要: A steam-assisted hydrocarbon recovery system includes a wellbore, a wellhead connected to the wellbore, and a steam plant. The steam plant includes a steam generator, one or more steam lines connected between the steam generator and the wellhead, and a sensor module configured to measure a steam characteristic in the steam line near the wellhead. The steam-assisted hydrocarbon recovery system may also include an artificial lift system. Measurements made by the sensor module can be used to optimize the production of steam and the operation of the artificial lift system.

摘要: A system and method for optimizing performance of an artificial lift system are provided. The optimization process can be performed automatically by a controller configured to receive optimization parameters from the user and information regarding the performance of the system. The optimization process adjusts the pumping speed of the system in response to measured rod load and a position of the downhole pump or surface pumping unit. More particularly, the optimization process can increase or decrease the pump speed of the system in response to the measured rod load at a reference position relative to a reference rod load at the reference position. The reference load and position can be selected to indicate pump inefficiencies. For example, the target reference load and position can indicate fluid pounding if the measured rod load at the reference position is greater than the reference rod load at the reference position.

摘要: A system and method for determining the discharge pressure of a gas handler in a well. The system includes an electrical submersible pump connected to a discharge head disposed in the well, a gas handler discharge line configured to connect the discharge head to a sensor, a processor configured to receive data from the sensor and determine the discharge pressure of the gas handler based on the received data, and a display configured to display the discharge pressure of the gas handler. The method includes attaching a discharge head to the gas handler, attaching a gas handler discharge line from the discharge head to a sensor, measuring pressure transferred from the gas handler into the electrical submersible pump, receiving the measurement of the pressure transferred, determining the discharge pressure of the gas handler based on the measurement of the pressure transferred, and displaying the discharge pressure of the gas handler.
