Abstract: An example method of upgrading a host in a cluster under management of a lifecycle manager in a virtualized computing system includes: receiving, from the lifecycle manager at a host in the cluster being upgraded, a desired software specification for a hypervisor of the host; determining, by the host, a list of required software installation bundles (SIBs) to satisfy the desired software specification; identifying a neighboring host in the cluster for the host; downloading, from the neighboring host to the host, at least a portion of the required SIBs; and executing an upgrade of the hypervisor in the host using the required SIBs.

Abstract: A computing device, such as a server, has a sealed housing and runs one or more data extraction agents. In some embodiments, the computing device includes one or more processors and memory located inside the sealed housing, the memory stores instructions that when executed by the one or more processors causes the one or more processors to: authenticate with a data recipient system using a prestored security engine and using a shared registration secret uniquely associating the computing device with the data recipient system; retrieve an extraction job specification from an extraction job specification repository associated with the data recipient system; and using the extraction job specification, communicate to one or more client computing devices associated with a client system to extract data records from one or more data stores of the client system. Related methods are also disclosed.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for enrolling a user device in a Unified Endpoint Management (“UEM”) system over a closed network. After an initial boot or factory reset of a user device, a user can scan a Quick Response code, or other scannable code, that is embedded with enrollment configuration data that includes configuration settings for communicating with a UEM server in the UEM system. Using the enrollment configuration data, the user device can retrieve an installation file for a management application. The user device can install the management application and give the management application access to the enrollment configuration data. The management application can disable hardcoded open network endpoints on the user device and configure the user device for UEM communications on the closed network. The user device can connect to the UEM server over the closed network and request enrollment in the UEM system.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for migrating one or more services from an edge device to a cloud computing environment. In one example, a migration service receives a request to migrate a first set of services from the edge device to the cloud computing environment. The migration service identifies a hardware profile of a computing device (or devices) of the cloud computing environment that matches the edge device, and then configures the computing device to execute a second set of services that corresponds to the first set of services. The migration service establishes a communication channel between the edge device and the computing device, and then executes a set of migration operations such that the second set of services is configured to execute as the first set of services. The computing device may operate in a virtual bootstrap environment or dedicated region of the cloud computing environment.

Abstract: A tenant data store contains information associated with tenants of a cloud computing environment, including an indication that a first customer subscribed to an exclusive tenant that receives an upcoming version of runtime software. A notification system pushes a notification about the upcoming runtime to an integration service for the first customer. A tenant preview service may contain the upcoming version of runtime software, and a software update store may contain new integration scenario content (created and tested by the first customer) in connection with the upcoming version of runtime software. An integration content mapper determines, based on old and new integration scenario content metadata, if an automatic port of the new integration scenario content in the software update store should be automatically provided to a runtime node. If it should be automatically provided, the integration content mapper may use a software update tool to automatically deploy the new integration scenario content.
