摘要: Disclosed are a desalination device and processes of desalination using the device. The device is directly ocean-situated and fully nature-powered with on intake, no brine production, and no electricity consumption. The device contains a heating unit, configured to receive a dry air stream and heat the dry air stream with one or more renewable energy sources to produce a heated air stream; a humidifier, configured to receive the heated air stream, evaporate at least portion of water present in the humidifier and humidify the heated air stream to produce a wet air stream, a cooling unit, configured to receive the wet stream and cool the wet air stream resulting in condensation of at least a portion of the moisture to produce fresh water and a dehumidified air stream; and a fresh water collection tank, configured to collect at least a portion of the fresh water.

摘要: A distillation unit for producing potable water using solar radiation is disclosed. The distillation unit includes a heating chamber defining an interior chamber adapted to contain a non-potable liquid for distillation, and a dome-shaped condensing portion having an inner surface and an outer surface, with the condensing portion disposed over the heating chamber such that the heating chamber and the inner surface of the condensing portion are provided in fluid-transfer communication. The distillation unit also includes a pre-heat jacket having a first surface and a second surface and an interior defined therebetween adapted to receive non-potable liquid for distillation therein. The first surface is disposed adjacent the outer surface of the condensing portion, and the pre-heat jacket defines an access entry for introducing non-potable liquid for distillation into the interior of the heating chamber. The distillation unit also includes a trough adjacent for receiving a potable liquid therein.

摘要: A water purifying and desalination system includes solar concentrators that receive a sunlight and direct the sunlight toward a collection element. The collection element absorbs and converts a solar radiation into thermal energy. A superheater tube enclosed by the heat collection element controls volume flow that partially fills the superheater tube with processed ocean water, which allows steam to escape into a portion of the superheater tube that generates electricity and additional processed ocean water.

摘要: An inflatable non-imaging solar concentrator based concentrating solar thermal and photovoltaic system powered water desalination system comprises a concentrating electricity and heat cogeneration subsystem, a battery storage subsystem, a thermal storage subsystem with electric heater, a thermal power regeneration subsystem, and a water distillation system with electric heater. The inflatable non-imaging solar concentrator makes the concentrating system substantially low cost, and the hybrid solar thermal and photovoltaic panels used to construct the cogeneration receiver make the system ultra-high efficient. The cogenerated thermal energy is stored in a thermal storage and the cogenerated electric energy is stored in a battery storage to heat the stored thermal energy to pre-set high temperature for thermal power regeneration. The thermal energy after thermal power generation is used to desalinize water with assistance of electric heater powered by the stored electricity. An extra conventional photovoltaic system is added to compensate the concentrating hybrid solar thermal and photovoltaic system.

摘要: A device, method, and system for generating electric power and desalinating seawater, combining concentrated solar energy with one-or-more cogeneration alternatives; utilizing seawater as a working fluid. An inclined Fresnel-mirror-system of east-west primary axis, and site-latitude justification, is utilized to reflect the sun's incidental irradiance to a central receiving tube, and raising temperature of working-fluid therein, producing dry saturated, or wet steam, whereby resultant energy turns a rotary-screw-expander engine, providing mechanical power, thence turning a generator; producing electric power. Heat recovered in the working-fluid is utilized in seawater desalination using a Multi-Effect-Distillation system, whereby, during non-solar-dependent productive hours, a molten-salts Single-Temperature-Thermal-Energy storage system is utilized as a battery. Waste heat from industry, renewable, and conventional power systems, is recycled to generate electrical power utilizing an organ fluid in a rotary-screw-expander engine arrangement, within an Organic Rankine-Cycle process, and desalinate seawater, accordingly.

摘要: An improved solar water distillation system including: a flow system for collecting one or more condensate streams from an input treatment liquid; and an input treatment liquid separator within the flow system adapted to collect excess input treatment liquid from the flow system separate from the one or more condensate streams. The treatment liquid is maintained separate to the condensate streams to substantially minimise cross-contamination of the one or more condensate streams.
