    摘要: A screw pipe unit intended to cooperate with and at least partly enclose a screw in a plug screw feeder for cellulose chips/pulp is provided. The screw pipe unit comprises a plurality of openings for filtrate dewatered from the chips/pulp in the screw pipe when the plug screw feeder is in operation. The screw pipe is, on at least a portion of its inner surface, provided with bars inclined with respect to the longitudinal axis of the screw pipe. The angle of inclination of the bars decreases in the longitudinal direction, from a first portion of the screw pipe unit with maximum inclination to a second portion of the screw pipe unit with bars substantially parallel to the axis, the second portion being further away from the inlet end of the screw pipe unit than the first portion.

    摘要: Disclosed is an improved conveyor. The invention provides an apparatus for conveying material having an elongated tube with an input end and a discharge end, an intake hopper having a front end secured to the input end of the tube and an endless belt for conveying material from the intake hopper to the discharge end of the tube. Mounted within the intake hopper is at least two augers positioned above the endless belt and external to the input end of the tube. The endless belt and the augers are driven with appropriate drive mechanisms. Rotation of the augers conveys granular material in the hopper toward the input end of the tube so as to flood feed the input end of the tube. The granular material is then carried to the discharge end of the tube by the belt. In addition, the invention provides for the mounting of the augers to permit adjustment of the location of the augers within the intake hopper as well as facilitating easy removal and replacement of the augers. Further, the speed at which the augers are to be driven is also adjustable. The foregoing provides great flexibility with respect to different applications which the conveyor will be used for. The invention also provides for additional feed augers located toward the rear of the hopper and adapted for moving material from the sides of the hopper towards the center where it will be transported by the belt and augers to the input end of the tube.

The invention also provides for additional feed augers located toward the rear of the hopper and adapted for moving material from the sides of the hopper towards the center where it will be transported by the belt and augers to the input end of the tube.

    摘要: A material transport system for conveying water softener salt to a water softener brine tank located within a structure is disclosed. The material transport system includes a loading hopper having a removable lid that is secured to or adjacent a wall of the structure. Salt is fed into the upper end of the loading hopper and travels through the hopper to the lower end of the hopper where a downwardly sloping gravity feed sleeve is connected to the loading hopper. The feed sleeve is formed of a non-corrosive material and extends from the loading hopper through floors and walls of the structure to a lower level of the structure. At its lower end, the feed sleeve is connected to a storage hopper suspended in the lower level of the structure by a hanging framework attached to the underside of a floor of the structure located directly above the storage hopper. The feed sleeve is attached adjacent the upper end of the storage hopper, allowing the salt to migrate through the storage hopper to a dispensing spout connect to the lower end of the storage hopper. The dispensing spout is, in turn, connected to a feed mechanism located beneath the storage hopper. The feed mechanism includes a connecting sleeve forming the exterior of the mechanism and containing a feed system used to selectively dispense the salt from the feed mechanism through a tank sleeve connected between the feed mechanism and the water softener brine tank.

The coupling assembly includes a core-to-coreless connector having a connecting shaft connected to an end of the core-type auger, and a stub shaft joined with the connecting shaft and approximately two flights of the coreless conveyor. The core-to-coreless connector is arranged in a housing having a section thereof transverse to the path formed by the conveyors, which section is larger than the corresponding sections of the conveyors themselves for permitting the material being conveyed to boil and take a position outside a core of the core-type auger. This is desirable since the space of the core of the core-type auger is unavailable to the material.

The pipe includes at least one pipe section having a first peripheral zone in a vertically lower area with dewatering holes but no anti-rotation bars and a second peripheral zone in a vertically upper area with anti-rotation bars. A pipe profile includes two differently shaped profiles, a first and second pipe profile are selected from a square-shaped, partly circular, and a partly elliptically-shaped profile. The first pipe profile is selected to enable outer edges of the feed screw to remove material overlying the dewatering holes, and the second pipe profile is selected to prohibit contact between the outer edges of the feed screw and the anti-rotation bars.
