    Abstract: A puncture needle connector (1) includes an outer cylinder (11), an inner cavity (1a) formed within the outer cylinder (11), an arm (15) provided at the outer cylinder (11), the arm (15) being elastically deformable by bending, and a claw (16) provided on the arm (15). The inner cavity (1a) is in communication with the outside via a first opening (21) and a second opening (22). When a puncture needle (210) is inserted into the inner cavity (1a) via a first opening (21), the claw (16) engages with an engagement structure (217) provided integrally with the puncture needle (210), a liquid-tight seal (25) is formed between an outer circumferential surface of the puncture needle (210) and an inner circumferential surface of the inner cavity (1a), and the puncture needle (210) and the second opening (22) are in communication with the each other.

    Abstract: A safety cap for use with a needleless connector. The safety cap includes a body configured to at least partially enclose a head of the needleless connector (NC). The body is configured to achieve a first configuration that can be securely sealed to the NC and a second configuration that cannot be securely sealed to the NC. The second configuration is different from the first configuration. The safety cap also includes a detent in communication with the body which is configured to prevent the body from transitioning from the second configuration back to the first configuration.

    Abstract: A modular connector assembly for a medical container may include a plurality of covers and a plurality of adapters. Each cover is connectable to a cooperatively dimensioned medical container. Each adapter is attachable in fluid sealing engagement with each cover by an interface assembly including a first interface segment formed on each of said plurality of covers and a second interface segment formed on each of said plurality of adapters. The first and second interface segments and corresponding ones of the covers and adapters are initially separable and subsequently connected to define a fluid sealing engagement between connected ones of the cover and adapter. The structural configuration of each of the plurality of adapters is variable to define a different one of a plurality of medical connector types.

    Abstract: A therapeutic delivery device that provides a controlled release of high doses of a therapeutic agent in a local area, sustains the high dose controlled release with a percutaneous port for refilling the device, and is versatile for use with multiple types of therapeutic agents and/or implant systems. A rate determining/controlled release membrane is used to decrease the molecular mobility of the therapeutic compounds thereby controlling the therapeutic release profile.     Abstract: Disclosed herein is a fluid connector system configured to couple a first fluid line structure, e.g. port, with a second fluid line structure, e.g. catheter. The connector system can include a connector body and one or more locking mechanisms designed to transition between an unlocked position and a locked position. The locking mechanism includes a first lever arm rotatably coupled to the connector body, and a second lever arm rotatably coupled to the first lever arm. The second lever arm can further be rotatably and releasably coupled to the port. Rotating the first lever arm uses mechanical advantage to urge the port to engage a catheter ensuring a tight seal therebetween even under high fluid pressures.
