Abstract: A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes determining a transmission frequency band of a reference signal based on at least one of an initial frequency band for an initial access procedure, a control resource set (CORESET) configured for the UE using a master information block (MIB), or a CORESET associated with a paging search space set for monitoring a paging message, wherein the reference signal is received by the UE in an IDLE state or an INACTIVE state, receiving, from a base station (BS), the reference signal based on the transmission frequency band of the reference signal, performing time synchronization and frequency synchronization with the BS based on the reference signal, and receiving, from the BS, the paging message including an identifier of the UE based on the time synchronization and frequency synchronization.

A method is provided for handling SRS resource allocation in multi-TRP in wireless networks by a BS or a TRP unit. The method includes configuring CS allocation to at least one port of a UE. The CS allocation uses values from a sub-set of a plurality of allowable CS values. Further, the method includes receiving a SRS using the allocated CS. In an embodiment, per—port CS allocation provides flexibility of using the CS resources efficiently to minimize inter-TRP interference. The method can be used to allocate CS and SRS resources efficiently.

Abstract: Provided is a method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, including: receiving, from a base station, configuration information regarding a plurality of search spaces for a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) repetition; monitoring a plurality of PDCCHs on at least one cell based on the configuration information; identifying a time at which a repetition of PDCCHs including a first downlink control information (DCI) format, from among the plurality of PDCCHs, ends; determining at least one power headroom report (PHR) for the plurality of PDCCHs, based on an actual transmission or a reference format configured from higher layer signaling according to the identified time; and transmitting the determined at least one PHR on a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) scheduled by the first DCI format.
