Abstract: Systems, methods and computer-readable media proportionally schedule packet transmission on a network. A node maintains a plurality of buffers configured to store packets to be transmitted by the node on a network. Each of the buffers may have a buffer priority and a buffer length. The node receives one or more channel access parameters. The channel access parameters may be determined in accordance with a link quality between the transmitting node and one or more receiving nodes. The node selects packet to be transmitted from a buffer based on the channel access parameters, the buffer priority of the buffer, the buffer length of the buffer and a deprivation factor associated with the packet.
