    Abstract: According to an aspect, there is provided an apparatus for a first terminal device. The apparatus is configured to perform the following. The apparatus transmits (301) a first uplink reference signal at a first transmission time instance measured according to a local reference clock of the first terminal device. The apparatus applies (302) a frequency shift to a frequency of the local reference clock at a frequency-shift time instance measured according to the local reference clock and following the first transmission time instance. Based on the first transmission time instance, a second transmission time instance for an upcoming transmission of a second uplink reference signal, the frequency shift and the frequency-shift time instance, the apparatus calculates (303) a shift of transmission timing for the upcoming transmission. The apparatus applies (304) the shift of transmission timing to the second transmission time instance and thereafter transmits (305) the second uplink reference signal at the second time instance.

    Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media for positioning based on a plurality of measurement reports. In example embodiments, a first device performs measurement of a first subset of positioning reference signals (PRSs) from a set of PRSs. Based on the measurement of the first subset of PRSs, the first device generates a measurement report and sends the measurement report to a second device along with a report indication that the measurement report is generated based on measurement of a subset of PRSs from the set of PRSs. In this way, the measurement report latency may be reduced significantly.

    Abstract: To increase positioning accuracy, channel characteristics are determined taking into account receive filter response and transmit filter response. For example, upon receiving assistance data for positioning an apparatus, a transmit sequence is generated using the assistance data; and a combination of the transmit sequence is generated by combining the transmit sequence. Further, a receive filter response is determined, a transmit filter response is obtained, and a combined filter response is generated using the receive filter response and the transmit filter response. Reference signals received over a channel are measured by sampling them into a plurality of time-domain samples, and the channel is estimated from the plurality of time-domain samples using the combined filter response and the combination of the transmit sequence. Then, per channel characteristics, a value of the channel characteristics based on the channel estimated is determined.

One method may include receiving, by a UE configured with power saving feature(s), positioning performance requirements for a positioning session. An apparatus in a communication network may be configured to transmit to a location server in the communication network information of one or more non-preferred resources for positioning reference signal, PRS, measurement at a terminal device in the communication network, and receive a positioning configuration related indication from the location server. The positioning configuration related indication is obtained in connection with the transmitted information and it indicates the apparatus to update a positioning configuration to reduce PRS measurement of the terminal device on the one or more non-preferred resources.
