Abstract:
An ink set for ink-jet recording includes a pigment-based ink containing a negatively chargeable and self-dispersible pigment as a coloring agent and a dye-based ink containing an anionic dye as a coloring agent, and the ink set satisfies the following expression (1): Dci
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to an ink-jet ink set which, in spite of using a black ink including a black pigment, may display desirable storage stability and/or may form printed matter (e.g., images) with desirable rub fastness against a plain paper surface, color balance after fading (fading stability), and/or water resistance. An ink set may include a yellow dye ink including a yellow dye, a magenta dye ink including a magenta dye, a cyan dye ink including a cyan dye and a black ink, the black ink including a black pigment and a yellow dye, a magenta dye, and a cyan dye. A black ink may have a weight ratio of the amount of the black pigment to the total amount of the yellow dye, the magenta dye, and the cyan dye of from about 95/5 to about 5/95.
Abstract:
A water based ink set for ink-jet recording has a yellow ink, a magenta ink and a cyan ink each having at least a coloring agent, water and a water soluble organic solvent. The coloring agent of each of the black ink and the red ink is a pigment and the coloring agent of each of the yellow ink, the magenta ink and the cyan ink is a water soluble dye. The black ink and the red ink each have a dynamic surface tension at a lifetime of 100 ms of 40 mN/m or more and 45 mN/m or less as measured by a maximum bubble pressure method at 25° C.
Abstract:
A water based ink set for ink-jet recording, capable of reducing graininess, is composed of a combination of a diluting ink and one or more coloring inks. The diluting ink contains at least water and a water soluble organic agent and does not substantially contain a coloring agent, and the coloring ink contains at least a coloring agent, water and a water soluble organic solvent. In this ink set, the dynamic surface tension of the diluting ink is set to be higher than that of the coloring ink.

Abstract:
An incubated state evaluating device includes an image reading unit, a feature value calculating unit, a frequency distribution calculating unit, and an evaluation information generating unit. The image reading unit reads a plurality of images in which a plurality of cells incubated in an incubation container are image-captured in time series. The feature value calculating unit obtains each of feature values representing morphological features of cells from the images for each of the cells included in the images. The frequency distribution calculating unit obtains each of frequency distributions of the feature values corresponding to the respective images. The evaluation information generating unit generates evaluation information evaluating an incubated state of cells in the incubation container based on a variation of the frequency distributions between images.
Abstract:
An ink cartridge including: a water-based ink for ink-jet recording which contains a dye represented by a general formula (1), a triazole-based compound, and water; and a metallic component which has a contact surface contacting with the water-based ink, a concentration of a iron-oxidized component at the contact surface being not more than 5 atomic % wherein, in the general formula (1), Pc (Cu) represents a copper phthalocyanine nucleus represented by a general formula (Pc).
Abstract:
An ink set for ink-jet recording includes a black ink containing a black pigment having an average particle size of from about 100 nm to about 150 nm, and color inks containing color pigments having an average particle size of from about 60 nm to about 90 nm. The dynamic surface tension of the black ink is from about 40 mN/m to about 45 mN/m, and the dynamic surface tension of each of the yellow ink, the magenta ink and the cyan ink is from about 35 mN/m to about 40 mN/m measured on the condition of 25° C. according to a maximum bubble pressure method at lifetime of 100 ms.
Abstract:
An ink set for ink-jet recording is provided defined by an evaluation indicator approximately corresponding to an evaluation sensed by human eyes without relying on a color difference (ΔE) or an optical density difference (ΔOD) at the time of evaluating long-term storage properties of the ink set for ink-jet recording. In the ink set for ink-jet recording which contains a yellow ink, a magenta ink and a cyan ink, values of hue angle change (Δh), between before and after ozone resistance tests, of print regions corresponding to respective inks formed on glossy paper by using the yellow ink, the magenta ink and the cyan ink are not more than about 3° for the yellow ink, not more than about 2° for the magenta ink, and not more than about 6° for the cyan ink.
Abstract:
A printer comprises a fixed line type first head, a serial type second head, an ink cartridge which stores an ink to be supplied to the first and second heads, a first cap which is to be installed to the first head, and a second cap which is to be installed to the second head. The ink cartridge and the first and second heads are connected in series in this order by using tubes. Accordingly, it is possible to shorten the lengths of the tubes. The serial type head, in which the drying is hardly caused from a nozzle and the influence is exerted to a small extent on the jetting performance when any viscosity-increased liquid and/or bubbles is/are supplied, is arranged on the downstream side. Accordingly, it is possible to decrease the frequency of the recovery operation.
