Abstract: A calibration system, in a receiver chip, receives a plurality of receive signals at a plurality of receive paths. A first receive path and a second receive path is selected for a first receive signal and a second receive signal, respectively. A first signal parameter of the second receive signal is adjusted relative to the first signal parameter of the first receive signal to maximize a first signal strength value of an added signal or minimize a second signal strength value of a subtracted signal. Based on the adjusted first signal parameter, an offset of the first signal parameter is calibrated. Further, based on a matching of the second signal parameter in the second receive path relative to the second signal parameter in the first receive path, value of the second signal parameter is calibrated.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a plurality of antenna modules and a printed circuit board (PCB) having a plurality of holes embedded with a heat sink. Each antenna module includes an antenna substrate, a plurality of three-dimensional (3-D) antenna cells mounted on a first surface of the antenna substrate, and a plurality of packaged circuitry mounted on a second surface of the antenna substrate. The plurality of packaged circuitry are electrically connected with the plurality of 3-D antenna cells. Each of the plurality of antenna modules is mounted on a plurality of portions of the heat sink such that a corresponding packaged circuitry of the plurality of packaged circuitry is in a direct contact with the plurality of portions of the heat sink embedded within the plurality of holes.

Abstract: A device includes a primary sector and secondary sectors communicatively coupled to the primary sector. The processor included in the primary sector is configured to down convert a Radio Frequency (RF) signals with a first frequency to an analog baseband (IQ) signal with a second frequency, and receive a second digital baseband signal that comprises a first digital baseband signal and a digital echo signal. The first digital baseband signal comprises a training sequence signal. Further, the processor estimates a plurality of filter taps of the FIR filter based on the digital echo signal and estimate the digital echo signal in the received second digital baseband signal based on the first digital baseband signal and the plurality of filter taps of the FIR filter. The estimated digital echo signal is removed from at least one current digital baseband signal based on the down conversion of the RF signals.

Abstract: An antenna system includes a first substrate, a plurality of chips, a system board having an upper and lower surface, and a beam forming phased array that includes a plurality of radiating waveguide antenna cells for millimeter wave communication. Each radiating waveguide antenna cell includes a plurality of pins where a first pin is connected with a body of a corresponding radiating waveguide antenna cell and the body corresponds to ground for the pins. A first end of the radiating waveguide antenna cells is mounted on the first substrate, where the upper surface of the system board comprises a plurality of electrically conductive connection points to connect the first end of the plurality of radiating waveguide antenna cells to the ground.

A combination of the plurality of first phase-shifted RF signals is split at a transmitter front-end. A second phase shift on each of the split first plurality of first phase-shifted RF signals is performed. The plurality of RF signals as a directed beam is transmitted to a second equipment via a second radio path of the NLOS radio path.

Abstract: A system, in a programmable active reflector (AR) device associated with a first radio frequency (RF) device and a second RF device, receives a request and associated metadata from the second RF device via a first antenna array. Based on the received request and associated metadata, one or more antenna control signals are received from the first RF device. The programmable AR device is dynamically selected and controlled by the first RF device based on a set of criteria. A controlled plurality of RF signals is transmitted, via a second antenna array, to the second RF device within a transmission range of the programmable AR device based on the associated metadata. The controlled plurality of RF signals are cancelled at the second RF device based on the associated metadata.

Abstract: An active repeater device includes a primary sector and at least a secondary sector communicatively coupled to the primary sector receives or transmits a first beam of input RF signals having a first beam pattern from or to a base station, respectively. The primary sector includes an baseband signal processor and a first radio head (RH) unit. The secondary sector comprises a second RH unit. The first beam pattern covers a first geographical area. Beamforming coefficients are generated to convert the first beam pattern of the first beam of input RF signals to a second beam pattern. A second beam of output RF signals in the second beam pattern is transmitted from or received by, respectively, the secondary sector to or from, respectively, a plurality of user equipment (UEs) based on the generated beamforming coefficients and the received first beam of input RF signals.
