Abstract:
A toner case includes a case main body and a cleaning member. The case main body is capable of containing a toner supplied to an image forming part arranged inside an apparatus main body and is attachable to and detachable from a supplying attachment part of the apparatus main body along an attachment and detachment direction. The cleaning member is arranged at an outer circumferential face of the case main body. The case main body rotates inside the supplying attachment part in a first direction so as to convey the toner toward a communicating port formed at a first side in the attachment and detachment direction. The cleaning member rotates integrally with the case main body in the first direction so as to clean an inner circumferential face of the supplying attachment part.
Abstract:
In an initial recovery stage of untransferred toner, a conveying stirring screw is rotated at a high speed by using a second driving path. When the amount of collected untransferred toner increases and the rotating torque of the conveying stirring screw reaches a setting torque value of a second torque limiter, a driving path is switched to a first driving path, so that the conveying stirring screw is rotated at a low speed. When the amount of the collected untransferred toner further increases and the rotating torque of the conveying stirring screw reaches a setting torque value of a first torque limiter, the first driving path is also disconnected to block torque transfer to the conveying stirring screw.
Abstract:
A toner transportation device according to the present disclosure includes a transportation screw that has a rotational shaft and a transportation fin formed on an outer circumferential surface of the rotational shaft and a toner transportation pipe that has a circular shape in cross section. The transportation screw is rotatably positioned in the toner transportation pipe. A support member is attached to the rotational shaft that has a bearing portion having an annular shape and rotatably fitted onto the rotational shaft and that has a plurality of leg portions radially protruding outward from an outer circumferential surface of the bearing portion. A distance between an axis of the rotational shaft and a tip of each leg portion is greater than a radius of the transportation fin and equal to or less than a radius of an inner circumferential surface of the toner transportation pipe.
Abstract:
A sheet post-processing device includes a discharge port, a discharge tray, and a sheet holding member. On the discharge tray, a sheet discharged through the discharge port is stacked. The sheet holding member is swingably attached above the discharge port, and holds the sheet stacked on the discharge tray. The sheet holding member has a plurality of link members and a joint portion. The plurality of link members are coupled to each other along a discharge direction of the sheet. The joint portion couples the plurality of link members to each other. The sheet holding member is capable of changing a shape thereof by being bent at the joint portion in an up-down direction.
Abstract:
A sheet folding device includes a sheet conveyance path, first and second side plates, a first folding roller pair, a first folding guide, and a guide drive mechanism. The first folding guide is reciprocatable between a folding position and a retracted position, and includes a guide main body and first and second arms provided respectively at both ends of the guide main body. The guide drive mechanism includes a drive source provided on the first side plate, a first drive transmission portion that transmits a drive force of the drive source to the first arm, a second drive transmission portion that transmits the drive force to the second arm, and a drive coupling portion that couples the first drive transmission portion to the second drive transmission portion and transmits the drive force from the first drive transmission portion to the second drive transmission portion.
Abstract:
A sheet folding device includes a sheet conveyance path, a first folding conveyance path, a first folding roller pair, a first folding guide, and a conveyance roller. The first folding roller pair is composed of a first roller and a second roller forming a first folding nip by being brought into pressure contact with an upstream side of the first roller. The first folding guide is movable between a folding position at which it approaches the first folding nip, guiding a to-be-folded part of a sheet to the first folding nip, and a retracted position at which it is away from the first folding nip. The conveyance roller forms, together with the second roller, a first assist roller pair that conveys the sheet along the sheet conveyance path. The first folding guide has a pivot fulcrum on a downstream side relative to the first folding nip in the conveyance direction.
Abstract:
A sheet post-processing apparatus includes a first sheet conveyance passage, a second sheet conveyance passage, a sheet folding portion, and a merging portion. The second sheet conveyance passage branches off from a branch portion on the first sheet conveyance passage. The merging portion is located downstream of the branch portion on the first sheet conveyance passage, and there a folding conveyance passage of the sheet folding portion merges with the first sheet conveyance passage. When performing a folding process on a sheet, a controller guides the sheet conveyed from a sheet introduction port into the first sheet conveyance passage via the branch portion to the second sheet conveyance passage, then reverses the conveyance direction to guide the sheet to the sheet folding portion to perform the folding process, and passes the sheet through the folding conveyance passage, merges the sheet into the first sheet conveyance passage at the merging portion.
Abstract:
In a waste toner collecting device, primary cleaning devices and a secondary cleaning device remove residual toner that has remained on photoconductor drums and an intermediate transfer belt, respectively. A conveyance path guides the residual toner in a downstream direction. A toner container stores, as waste toner, the residual toner discharged from a downstream end of the conveyance path. A toner amount sensor outputs a detection signal whose level changes in correspondence with an amount of the waste toner. A derivation portion derives an accumulated value of the residual toner based on image data each time an image formation is performed. A determination portion determines whether or not an abnormality has occurred in the waste toner collecting device based on the level of the detection signal and the accumulated value.
Abstract:
A shutter member of a toner case includes a compatible key and an engaged portion. A storage portion for storing the toner case includes a compatible member rockably supported at a position that faces the shutter member during an insertion process of the toner case. The compatible member includes a first contact portion and a first engaging portion. The first contact portion is located on a forward side of a rocking shaft of the compatible member in the insertion direction. The first engaging portion is located on a backward side of the rocking shaft in the insertion direction. During an insertion process of the toner case, the first engaging portion of the compatible member is engaged with the engaged portion so that the shutter member moves from a closing position to an opening position.
