Abstract: Example embodiments of systems and methods for data transmission between a contactless card and a client device in support of a FIDO authentication are provided. In an embodiment, upon receipt of a challenge issued by a server in connection with a pending transaction, the contactless card may authorize the client device to utilize a FIDO private key to respond to the challenge. If the response to the challenge is successful, the FIDO authentication may proceed and the transaction may be completed.

Abstract: Example embodiments of systems and methods for data transmission between a contactless card, a client device, and one or more servers are provided. The contactless card may include one or more processors and memory, which may include one or more applets. The client device may include one or more processors and memory. The client device may be in data communication with the contactless card. One or more servers may be in data communication with the client device. A first set of information may be transmitted from the contactless card to the client device. The first set of information may include one or more links to activate the contactless card via a designated email program. Upon validation of the first set of information by the one or more servers, the contactless card may be activated.

Abstract: Example embodiments of systems and methods for data transmission system between transmitting and receiving devices are provided. In an embodiment, each of the transmitting and receiving devices can contain a master key. The transmitting device can generate a diversified key using the master key, protect a counter value and encrypt data prior to transmitting to the receiving device, which can generate the diversified key based on the master key and can decrypt the data and validate the protected counter value using the diversified key. Example embodiments of systems and methods can be used to provide further authentication and added levels of security for transactions.

Abstract: A system and method for using device characteristics to authenticate a transaction is disclosed. A first device can be used to request a transaction, and a second device can be used to approve the transaction. A push notification or authentication code is transmitted to a second device, and approval of the transaction is completed based in part on the hardware characteristics of the second device. A security database stores the hardware characteristics of the second device and links the characteristics to authentication profiles such that the second device can be used as a physical authentication device in multi-factor authentication.

Abstract: Example embodiments of systems and methods for contactless card verification include a contactless card including a substrate, a processor, and a memory, wherein the memory contains a first applet and a second applet, and a recipient device in data communication with the contactless card, wherein the second applet is configured to retrieve one or more parameters from the first applet via an interface; and wherein the second applet is configured to transmit the one or more parameters to the recipient device for verification.
