Abstract: A battery housing includes an electrical cavity configured to accommodate battery cells. At least one battery cell includes a pressure relief mechanism configured to be actuated in response to internal pressure or temperature of the at least one battery cell reaching a threshold to relieve the internal pressure. The housing further includes a collection cavity configured to collect emissions from the at least one battery cell in response to the pressure relief mechanism being actuated, a separation component configured to separate the electrical cavity and the collection cavity, a partition structure configured to partition the collection cavity into a first cavity and a second cavity, and a flow channel baffle arranged in the second cavity and configured to form a flow channel for guiding the emissions. The partition structure is provided with an exhaust vent configured to guide the emissions in the first cavity into the second cavity.

Abstract: A battery may include: a battery cell; a housing to accommodate the battery cell, where the housing may include a pressure relief structure to release, out of the housing, emissions induced by thermal runaway of the battery cell; and a charging connector to be electrically connected to the battery cell. The charging connector may include a body portion disposed on a side that is of the housing and that is oriented back from the battery cell, and covers the pressure relief structure. The emissions induced by thermal runaway of the battery cell are able to pass through the pressure relief structure and act on the body portion so that at least a part of the body portion may be triggered to move away from the battery cell to electrically disconnect the charging connector from the battery cell.
