Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products for delivery/read receipts for electronic messaging are disclosed. During one-on-one electronic messaging sessions in a conversation view format, only a single read receipt is shown only for the most recent message transmitted in the conversation. In some implementations, a delivery receipt is shown which then can be replaced or morphed into a read receipt. In a group conversation, a read receipt can be displayed for the recipient who most recently caught up in the ongoing conversation.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include a method for providing interactive notification elements. A device receives a first message. The device displays a first notification element in a first area of a user interface. The first notification element comprises information about the received first message. While displaying the first notification element, the device displays a first user interface (UI) element for initiating a reply to the first message. The first UI element includes a text entry field and an audio entry button for initiating recording of audio; and responsive to receiving a selection of the first UI element. In accordance with a determination that the selection includes selection of the audio entry button, the device initiates recording of audio and replacing the text entry field with a representation of the audio being recorded.

Abstract: A computer system, while displaying a first computer-generated experience with a first level of immersion, receives biometric data corresponding to a first user. In response to receiving the biometric data: in accordance with a determination that the biometric data corresponding to the first user meets first criteria, the computer system displays the first computer-generated experience with a second level of immersion, wherein the first computer-generated experience displayed with the second level of immersion occupies a larger portion of a field of view of the first user than the first computer-generated experience displayed with the first level of immersion; and in accordance with a determination that the biometric data corresponding to the first user does not meet the first criteria, the computer system continues to display the first computer-generated experience with the first level of immersion.

Abstract: Systems and methods for multitasking using touch-sensitive devices are disclosed. An example method includes: displaying a first application in a display area that occupies substantially all of a touch-sensitive display (TSD). While displaying the first application: displaying a dock overlaying a first portion of the display area; detecting a contact over a first affordance displayed within the dock, and the first affordance is associated with a second set of applications; detecting movement of the contact away from the dock. Upon detecting a liftoff of the contact from the TSD while the contact is over a second portion of the display area different from the first portion, the method further includes: displaying (i) the first set of application and (ii) at least some of the second set of applications in the display area that occupies substantially all of the touch-sensitive display.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to devices and systems that configure data access control and device-associated operating environment parameters based on a detected user identifier. In some examples, a user device identifies a user and configures the electronic device using a user's data access control profile settings and configures an ergonomic environment using the user's operating environmental profile settings. In some examples, the electronic device changes the ergonomic environment for the user, but maintains a data access control setting which was previously set for a different user.

Abstract: This disclosure pertains to systems, methods, and computer readable medium for mapping particular user interactions, e.g., gestures, to the input parameters of various image processing routines, e.g., image filters, in a way that provides a seamless, dynamic, and intuitive experience for both the user and the software developer. Such techniques may handle the processing of both “relative” gestures, i.e., those gestures having values dependent on how much an input to the device has changed relative to a previous value of the input, and “absolute” gestures, i.e., those gestures having values dependent only on the instant value of the input to the device. Additionally, inputs to the device beyond user-input gestures may be utilized as input parameters to one or more image processing routines. For example, the device's orientation, acceleration, and/or position in three-dimensional space may be used as inputs to particular image processing routines.

Abstract: A first version of a notification associated with an application is displayed. A first input is detected on the first version of the notification. If the first input meets application-launching criteria which require that the first input has ended without having met a first input threshold, launching of the application is initiated in response to the first input. If the first input meets notification expansion criteria which require that the first input meets the first input threshold before an end of the first input is detected, an expanded version of the notification is displayed in response to the first input. A second input is detected on the expanded version of the notification. If the second input is outside of the expanded version of the notification, the expanded version of the notification is dismissed; and if the second input is on the expanded version of the notification, application launching is initiated.
