摘要： A remote latching mechanism is provided having a connecting member, preferably a cylindrical rod, means for rotating the connecting member about its longitudinal axis, and a latch assembly connected to the connecting member for movement between latched and unlatched conditions in response to the rotation of the connecting member. The means for rotating the rod may be a handle assembly, having a handle journalled within a handle cup, and/or a socket member affixed to the end of the rod for rotation of the rod upon application of torque of the socket member. The latch assembly comprises a crank, at least one link member having over-center action, a pawl support and a pawl, all inter-connected so that upon rotation of the crank, the pawl is pivoted and slid relative to a latch housing between latched and unlatched positions.

摘要： A draw pull latch for securing two members together comprises a keeper affixed to one of the members and a second one-piece part which is composed of three segments; i.e., a base segment, an intermediate segment, and a locking segment. The base segment is adapted for being affixed to the second one of the members and the intermediate segment is flexibly connected to the base segment and the locking segment for pivotal movement of the segments about transverse axes. When in the locked condition, the intermediate segment is disposed in substantially coplanar relation to the base segment, and the locking segment is disposed in overlying relation to the base segment and the intermediate segment and to the keeper. The locking segment is detachably connected to the keeper, and the flexible connection between the intermediate and locking segments is closer to the second member than the flexible connection between the intermediate and base segments. The base segment has recesses in the sides thereof which mate with lugs in the cavity of the locking segment. A secondary locking feature is provided by use of an angular catch member disposed between the one-piece part and the second member and having a leg portion extending through the locking segment whereby the locking segment is retained in the latched condition. A finger notch is provided on the locking segment which, along with the outwardly extending edge of the catch member facilitates the opening of the latch, when desired.

摘要： A latching device comprising a flanged housing and an associated handle and latch for insertion into an opening in a hinged door in which the handle is pivotally attached to the housing and the latch is pivotally attached to the handle with the handle and the latch having front surfaces which are flat and contiguous with each other and positioned substantially flush with the outer door surface when the handle and the latch are in the latched position in which position the latch engages a keeper on the housing. In the preferred embodiment a spring is affixed to the housing for engagement with the latch when the handle and the latch are moved to the latched position thereby holding the latch in engagement with the keeper.

摘要： A latch of the pull-up type for a cabinet door is latched and unlatched by turning the latch in one direction or the other. When the door is in latched position, rotating the latch in the unlatching direction initially causes a spring-biased shaft, which carries a latching pawl, to move axially inwardly. This inward movement of the shaft is permitted because a sleeve cam having cam slots is moved rotationally to present inwardly sloping cam surfaces to opposite ends of a cross pin which is mounted on the shaft and which functions as a cam follower. The shaft is prevented from rotating on its own axis until the cross pin, which also functions as a motion-control pin, is moved axially inwardly a sufficient distance to escape from axial motion-control slots provided in a motion-control sleeve which is mounted coaxially on the shaft. When the motion-control pin reaches the inward ends of the axial motion-control slots, the opposite ends of the cross pin are able to move laterally into lateral motion-control slots provided in the motion-control sleeve, thereby to allow the shaft and the latch pawl to move pivotally out of the way of the cabinet frame. To latch the door, the action described takes place in reverse order.
