    摘要： An inhalation device for dispensing medicament comprising a body; a medicament carrier; a mouthpiece, reversibly movable from a storage position wherein said mouthpiece is within said body to an in-use position wherein a portion of the mouthpiece protrudes from the body and wherein the mouthpiece is in communication with said medicament carrier to allow passage of medicament therebetween; and a mouthpiece actuator coupled to the mouthpiece by a coupling mechanism comprising a rack and pinion mechanism or a hinged lever mechanism such that actuation of said mouthpiece actuator moves the mouthpiece towards said storage position and deactuation of the mouthpiece actuator moves the mouthpiece towards said in-use position, wherein said body is shaped to be holdable in one hand and the mouthpiece actuator is actuable in response to a discrete motion of the thumb on the same hand.

A mover is provided for moving the medicament carrier relative to the housing so as to bring successive medicament retainers individually into communication with the airway.

The indexing mechanism (13, 43) includes a coupling element to compensate for excess movement of the container (2) relative to the housing (1).

    摘要： Inhalation device comprising a body (55) defining a reservoir (56) for medicament in the form of a powder, an outlet (57) through which a user can inhale, and a dosing member (53) with at least one metering recess formed therein. The dosing member (53) is moveable between a first position in which the at least one metering recess communicates with the reservoir (56) to receive a dose of powder therefrom and a second position in which the at least one metering recess communicates with the outlet (57) to permit the user to inhale the dose. The at least one metering recess is formed in a face of the dosing member which is urged into contact against a similar mating face of the body at the lower end of the reservoir to form a dynamic seal. At least one of the faces (51) is made of a flexible material having a hardness of less than 80 Shore A.
