Abstract: An interactive method using a floating image display and a system thereof are provided. The method is performed in the display apparatus. The display apparatus links to a computer system that executes a driver for establishing a communication interface there-between. In the method, the display apparatus receives image data from the computer system and floating image data can be obtained therefrom. The floating image display apparatus displays a floating image via a display panel after a conversion process. After that, a user can manipulate directly on the floating image by gesture. A procedure running in the display apparatus can determine an interactive instruction according to variations of three-dimensional coordinates. When the interactive instruction is transmitted to the computer system, a new image data is formed in response to the interactive instruction. The display apparatus then displays a new floating image after receiving new data.

Abstract: An interactive stereoscopic display and an interactive sensing method for the same are provided. In the method, a gesture sensor senses a hand gesture over a stereoscopic image displayed on a stereoscopic display. The gesture is such as moving, rotating or zooming actions. The gesture is referred to, to obtain stereo coordinate variations that are used to determine an interactive instruction. Next, the stereoscopic display or a stereoscopic image server generates a new stereoscopic image data by comparing image coordinate data of the stereoscopic image with a previous state of image coordinate data according to the interactive instruction. The stereoscopic image data describes color and three-dimensional information of the stereoscopic image. Therefore, the stereoscopic display displays a new stereoscopic image using the new stereoscopic image data. The method achieves an interactive effect with the stereoscopic image using the gesture.

Abstract: A stereo image display apparatus includes a display device, a lens array layer and a shielding unit. The lens array layer is disposed adjacent to a display surface of the display device, and the lens array layer includes a plurality of lenses. The shielding unit is disposed between the display device and the lens array layer, or is disposed on the display device, or is disposed on the lens array layer. The shielding unit includes a plurality of light transmitting regions and at least one light shielding region, the light shielding region is located at a periphery of the light transmitting regions, the light transmitting regions respectively correspond in position to the lenses, and the lens array layer is configured to reconstruct an un-reconstructed image displayed by the display surface as an integral image to produce a stereo image.
