    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to implied and explicit mapping of uplink (UL) resources for acknowledgment communications from a user equipment (UE). In some examples disclosed herein, implied mapping may include indexing of information elements in a downlink (DL) communication. The explicit mapping may include information elements in the DL communication configured to explicitly provide a location of an UL resource. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for performing paging and/or random access procedures with multiple physical resource blocks (PRBs) for narrowband (NB) internet-of-things (IoT). In one aspect, a method is provided which may be performed by a base station. The method generally includes determining a first set of resources and a second set of resources available for narrowband communications with one or more first user equipments (UEs) and one or more second UEs. The method also includes allocating the first and second set of resources to one or more of the first UEs and the second UEs based at least in part on a type of the first UEs and a type of the second UEs. The method further includes signaling an indication of the allocation.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for managing unwanted transmissions by a wireless communications device, such as spurious transient transmissions caused by changing a power level of a transmitter. An exemplary method includes determining, based on one or more parameters, an action to reduce an impact of a spurious transmission by the UE, wherein the spurious transmission relates to at least one of changing a transmit power level at the UE or switching one or more radio components at the UE, and taking the determined action to reduce the impact.
