In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a first base station, a synchronization signal block (SSB) based at least in part on a determination that the SSB is included in a timing advance group (TAG) that includes a first subset of SSBs of a first set of SSBs associated with the first base station and a second subset of SSBs of a second set of SSBs associated with a second base station. The UE may communicate with the first base station based at least in part on the SSB. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for indicating an overlap of downlink transmissions with one or more random access channel occasions (ROs). A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving signaling from a base station (BS) including an indication of whether one or more ROs will overlap with downlink transmissions in one or more periods of time, transmitting, to the BS based on the indication, a random access channel (RACH) preamble in an RO of the one or more ROs during the one or more periods of time, and performing a RACH procedure with the BS based on the transmitted RACH preamble.

A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration indicating whether a beam switching gap is expected at a first symbol position within a subframe of a physical channel for the UE, the first symbol position having a first cyclic prefix length that is longer than a second cyclic prefix length of a second symbol position within the subframe of the physical channel for the UE. The UE may determine whether a transmission includes a missing symbol for the beam switching gap based on the configuration and the symbol position of a symbol where a beam switch is scheduled.
