    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support managing allocation of configured grant (CG) resources for uplink transmissions using a polynomial over Galois field in a wireless communication system. In particular, a user equipment (UE) may be configured (e.g., by a base station) to determine a resource to access, from a resource pool configured for each CG occasion of a CG configuration, based on a polynomial over Galois field configured for the UE. The polynomial over Galois field may include a parameter p, and the UE may be configured with a mapping that maps the absolute time (e.g., a slot index or a symbol index) of a GC occasion to an index between 0 and p−1 that is used as input to the polynomial The result of the polynomial is used to determine the resource to access by the UE at the CG occasion.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may receive, from a second UE, a control message that indicates a duration of time the second UE has reserved at least a first subchannel of a first subband of a set of shared spectrum subbands. The duration of time may include a quantity of time periods. The first UE may transmit, during a time period of the quantity of time periods and in a second subchannel of the first subband, a power reservation signal that indicates a transmission power associated with the first UE beginning transmission to a third UE in a second subband of the set of shared spectrum subbands and partway through the time period. The first UE may transmit signaling to the third UE in the second subband partway through the time period and after transmitting the power reservation signal.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus for partitioning a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) into multiple shortened PSSCHs (sPSSCHs) within a slot and selecting a transmit power for each sPSSCH. In one aspect, a transmitting user equipment (UE) may select the transmit power for each sPSSCH in accordance with an open loop power control operation. In some examples, the transmitting UE may select a common transmit power for each sPSSCH. Alternatively, the transmitting UE may perform independent power control operations for each sPSSCH and may cap variation in transmit power across sPSSCHs as a result of employing lower and upper bound transmit powers. Additionally, or alternatively, the transmitting UE may provide a default beta offset for the set of receiving UEs via sidelink control information (SCI) part one (SCI-1) and may provide beta offset updates via each SCI part two (SCI-2) transmission in the multiple sPSSCHs.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling indicating a configuration for performing a sidelink discontinuous reception procedure, where the configuration indicates a duration of a timer associated with an active duration for the first UE to receive sidelink retransmissions during the sidelink discontinuous reception procedure. The UE may then receive a first sidelink communication including data and may, in some cases, transmit feedback requesting a retransmission of the data. The UE may then receive second sidelink communication including the retransmitted data. Prior to receiving the second sidelink communication including the retransmitted data, the UE may initiate the timer according to the configuration. Thus, the UE may be in an active mode to receive the second sidelink communication.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to autonomous sidelink communication in a shared radio frequency band (e.g., in a shared spectrum or an unlicensed spectrum) are provided. A first user equipment (UE) performs a listen-before-talk (LBT) in a shared radio frequency band during at least a portion of a first sidelink frame. The first UE determines a channel occupancy time (COT) in the shared radio frequency band based on the LBT. A beginning of the COT is within the first sidelink frame and offset from a boundary of the first sidelink frame. The COT includes one or more sidelink frames subsequent to the first sidelink frame. The first UE transmits, in the shared radio frequency band, a COT indication signal at the beginning of the COT within the first sidelink frame. The COT indication signal includes COT sharing information for UEs to share the one or more sidelink frames.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to channel access with variable energy detection thresholds in a shared radio frequency band are provided. A wireless communication device, performs a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure to contend for a maximum channel occupancy time (MCOT) in a first shared radio frequency band, the performing the LBT including performing, in the first shared radio frequency band, first channel sensing during a first portion of an LBT period based on a first energy detection threshold; and performing, in the first shared radio frequency band based on the first channel sensing, second channel sensing during a second portion of the LBT period based on a second energy detection threshold different from the first energy detection threshold; and communicating, in the first shared radio frequency band, a communication signal during the MCOT based on the LBT procedure.

    Abstract: Channel occupancy time (COT) aware sensing and resource selection for new radio-unlicensed (NR-U) sidelink operations is disclosed. A first sidelink user equipment (UE) determines a sensing window or resource selection window (RSW) based on a projected listen-before-talk (LBT) completion time. The UE may sense for a subset of sideline resources within the RSW and COT-SI from a neighboring sidelink UE including identification of a COT initiated by the neighboring UE and one or more parameters associated with the COT. The UE may identify in-COT resources of located within the COT and out-COT resources located outside of the COT and then randomly select a set of transmission resources from the in-COT and out-COT resources. The UE may then transmit to a second UE using the set of transmission resources.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for a base station transmitting to a user equipment (UE) a partial bandwidth configuration for uplink transmissions, where the partial bandwidth configuration may indicate a channel interlace and a portion of a channel bandwidth, for example, for autonomous uplink (AUL) transmissions. The base station may also transmit to the UE an AUL configuration including a group identifier. The UE may determine a starting offset with respect to an AUL subframe for a partial bandwidth transmission based on the group identifier. In some cases, different UEs may be grouped into groups of UEs allocated non-overlapping resources, and UEs allocated overlapping resources may have different starting offsets to begin transmitting. According to the determined starting offset, the UE may perform the partial bandwidth transmission over the channel interlace and the portion of the channel bandwidth.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a first user equipment (UE) may transmit a first communication to a second UE during a first channel occupancy time (COT). The first UE may reserve resources of one or more subsequent COTs for one or more repetitions of the first communication. The reserved resources may be identified based at least in part on a two stage resource reservation, in which reserved resources are identified relative to a timing of the one or more subsequent COTs. Such a UE may first determine a timing of a second COT and may then determine a timing of the reserved resources based on the timing of the second COT. The reserved resources may be identified based at least in part on one or more offsets from a starting time of the second COT.
