    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station (e.g., next-generation NodeB ((gNB)) may transmit a report configuration to a user equipment (UE). The report configuration may include a first set of quasi co-location parameters for channel measurement and a second set of quasi co-location parameters for interference measurement. At least one quasi co-location reference associated with a first quasi co-location parameter of the first set may be different than a quasi co-location reference associated with a second quasi co-location parameter of the second set. The quasi co-location references may include different quasi co-location Typed references that correspond to different spatial receive beams. The UE may perform the channel measurement based on a first resource setting for the channel measurement and the first set of quasi co-location parameters. The UE may perform the interference measurement based on a second resource setting for the interference measurement and the second set of quasi co-location parameters.

    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a network entity comprising a location server and/or base station, a positioning capability report that includes a set of positioning capability parameters for a radio resource control (RRC) connected state. The UE may enter an RRC unconnected state, the RRC unconnected state comprising an RRC inactive state or an RRC idle state. The UE may perform positioning reference signal (PRS) processing during the RRC unconnected state according to one or more positioning capability parameters from the set of positioning capability parameters for the RRC connected state.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the disclosure relate to techniques associated with the acquisition of reference signals. In some aspects, a network may request a user equipment (UE) to measure a timing difference between neighbor cells and use that information to generate a CSI-RS configuration. The network sends the CSI-RS configuration to the UE to enable the UE to acquire a CSI-RS from a neighbor cell. In some aspects, a network may send timing-related information to a neighbor cell and the neighbor cell uses that information to transmit a CSI-RS.

    Abstract: Disclosed are various techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) may determine a plurality of measurement gap (MG) configurations, each MG configuration defining one or more MGs. The UE may send, to a serving base station, a request to use a first MG configuration from the plurality of MG configurations, and may receive a response to the first request. The UE then measures positioning signals using an MG configuration indicated by the response. Based on measurements of the first set of positioning signals, the UE may select a second MG configuration, send a second request to use the second MG configuration, and receive a response to the second request. The UE then measures a second set of positioning signals using an MG configuration indicated by the response to the second request.
