Abstract: A hydraulic fracturing system for fracturing a subterranean formation includes an electric powered pump having an inlet and an outlet, the outlet coupled to a well associated with the subterranean formation and powered by at least one electric motor. The system also includes a fluid source, coupled to the inlet of the electric powered pump, the fluid source providing a slurry for injection into the subterranean formation. The system further includes a hose extending between the fluid source and the electric powered pump, the hose being flexible and having a first diameter. The system includes a fitting between the hose and the electric powered pump, the fitting having a first end for receiving the hose at the first diameter and a second end for coupling to the electric powered pump at a second diameter, the second diameter being larger than the first diameter.

Abstract: A method for the fracking or stimulation of a hydrocarbon-bearing formation, said method comprising the steps of: providing a wellbore in need of stimulation; inserting a plug in the wellbore at a predetermined location; inserting a perforating tool and a spearhead or breakdown acid into the wellbore; positioning the tool at said predetermined location; perforating the wellbore with the tool thereby creating a perforated area; allowing the spearhead acid to come into contact with the perforated area for a predetermined period of time sufficient to prepare the formation for fracking or stimulation; removing the tool form the wellbore; and initiating the fracking of the perforated area using a fracking fluid. Also disclosed is a corrosion inhibiting composition for us with the acid composition.

Abstract: Methods and systems include using downhole data to determine a static bulk modulus of dry rock or rock frame in a porous formation and determine a static bulk modulus of grain minerals in the porous formation. Biot's coefficient for the porous formation can be determined based on the static bulk modulus of dry rock or rock frame and the static bulk modulus of grain minerals. Effective stress of the porous formation can be determined based on Biot's coefficient. Effective stress of the porous formation is used in geomechanical applications, including hydraulic fracturing, wellbore stability analysis, and reservoir integrity assessments.

Abstract: A hydraulic fracturing system is disclosed as including a singular mobile platform of at least one mobile power unit (MPU) and at least one first switch gear that is configured to handle electric power from the MPU. The MPU is configured to generate voltage that matches the capabilities of an electrical bus from the at least one switch gear such that a combined electrical current generated as a result of the generated voltage and required load is provided to the electrical bus to the components of the hydraulic fracturing system. Further, the hydraulic fracturing system may include electrical fracturing equipment with at least one second switch gear to support the at least one first switch gear in handling electric power from the MPU. A datavan may be included in the system to control load shedding, load sharing, and power distribution for the electrical fracturing equipment comprising the at least one second switch gear.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a system for providing mobile power, in which the required equipment for the power supply system at fracturing fields as well as connection cables and connection hoses are integrated properly, assigned onto three transport vehicles for movement and effectively connected. Intake components and a turbine generation system are combined on a first transport vehicle and installed together, then transported to customer sites directly, thus saving the installation time at the user sites. The two different designs on the locations of an exhaust stack and an exhaust silencer not only meet the requirements of road transportation, but also meet the requirements of exhaust gas emission during operations.

Abstract: In a fracturing control apparatus, a first chemical agent storage tank is connected with a first delivery pump, and a material outlet of the first delivery pump communicates with a first position of a first fracturing fluid conveying pipeline. An outlet of the first fracturing fluid conveying pipeline communicates with an inlet of a fracturing pump, an outlet of the fracturing pump communicates with an inlet of a second fracturing fluid conveying pipeline, and a first flow detector is arranged at a second position of the second fracturing fluid conveying pipeline. The first delivery pump is connected with a first output interface of a controller, and the first flow detector is connected with a first input interface of the controller. The fracturing control apparatus and the control method of the fracturing control apparatus are used for adding chemical agents into fracturing fluids.

Abstract: A gas-operated, fixed-volume, downhole setting tool includes a mandrel having an upper portion and a lower portion. The mandrel has a first end on the upper portion and a second end on the lower portion. The mandrel also includes an interior combustion chamber having a first end proximate to the first end of the mandrel and having an interior upper portion. The setting tool further includes a pressure bulkhead with a pressure igniter disposed in the mandrel at the first end of the mandrel in the interior upper portion of the mandrel. The pressure igniter is sealed to at least a first threshold pressure. The pressure bulkhead and pressure igniter form a seal on the first end of the mandrel and thereby define a fixed volume for combustion gases. Other settings tools and assemblies are presented.
