Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a computer-implemented method of operating a wireless network access point of a wireless network. The method includes wirelessly exchanging management frames with a device to attach the device to the access point, thereby establishing: a wireless downlink data communication channel from the access point to the device, and a wireless uplink data communication channel from the device to the access point. The method further includes performing a wireless link test comprising: transmitting a test frame to the device on the downlink channel, the test frame having a length greater than each of the management frames, including a sequence of test data bits, and being configured to require a mirror response comprising the sequence of test data bits; monitoring for receipt of the mirror response on the uplink; and, if the mirror response is received, determining the test is passed.

Abstract: A method for uplink communication to be executed by a RAN includes: for each of UEs, establishing connection with one of RUs; host device conducting data transmission with each UE in multiple phase delays through controlling the beamforming antenna of the UE via the RU that is connected to the UE, and calculating an error rate with respect to each of the phase delays; the host device finding one of the phase delays that has the lowest error rate and setting a configuration of beamforming antenna of the UE with the phase delay that has the lowest error rate, such that the UE and the RU connected thereto form a spatially isolated relationship; and within the spatially isolated relationship, the RU receiving uplink data from the UE and transmitting the uplink data to the host device.

Abstract: A method for pseudo channel hopping in a node of a wireless mesh network is provided that includes scanning each channel of a plurality of channels used for packet transmission by the node, wherein each channel is scanned for a scan dwell time associated with the channel, updating statistics for each channel based on packets received by the node during the scanning of the channel, and selecting a channel of the plurality of channels for scanning based on the statistics when the scan dwell time of a currently scanned channel ends.

Abstract: Aspects are provided allowing a base station to configure a UE to accumulate CSI over time for downlink data transmissions, and to transfer the accumulated CSI to a base station in a CSI report in response to a CSI report trigger event, thereby improving efficiency in CSI reporting and subsequent transmission reliability. Initially, the base station configures a CSI report trigger event and sends a plurality of data transmissions to a UE. The UE receives the data transmissions and then identifies the CSI report trigger event. Afterwards, the UE sends a CSI report to the base station including a CSI for each of the data transmissions in response to the CSI report trigger event. The base station may then adjust MCS or other parameters for subsequent data transmissions in response to the CSI report.

Abstract: A base station may receive uplink data identifying uplink performance indicators associated with user equipment connected to the base station, and may receive tuning factors associated with shared channel traffic received by the user equipment and quality of service requirements of the user equipment. The base station may determine a total score associated with utilizing a long duration physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) format for uplink control information based on the uplink data and the tuning factors. The base station may determine that the total score satisfies a threshold score and may switch to the long duration PUCCH format for the uplink control information based on the total score satisfying the threshold score. The base station may perform one or more actions based on switching to the long duration PUCCH format for the uplink control information.
