    摘要: A detection circuit 1 includes: an input unit 2; two contact electrodes A and B which are connected to the input unit; phase inversion unit 3 connected to the contact electrode A; one amplification unit 41 arranged in each contact unit; and detection units 5A and 5B which detect as an electric change amount, an amplitude change of an input signal caused by a capacitance change in each of the contact electrodes A and B. The detection circuit 1 causes the two electrodes to input signals having phases shifted by a half period from each other by using the phase inversion unit 3. In the presence of contact, the amplitude of the input pulses is amplified by the one amplification unit 41. The respective detection units 5A and 5B detect signals of respective electrodes from the one amplified signal and output them to output units 6A and 6B, respectively.

    摘要: An input key and a detection circuit are not directly connected but are connected via a first capacitor. This prevents electrostatic noise obtained by the input key from directly entering the detection circuit, thereby protecting the detection circuit. Further, a first coupling line adapted to establish a connection between the input key and one of a pair of counter electrodes and a second coupling line adapted to establish a connection between the other counter electrode and the detection circuit are surrounded by ground electrodes. Thus, the effect of electrostatic noise is suppressed to provide a stable operation of the capacitive switch.

    摘要: An improved capacitive sensor for detecting the presence of objects in a sensing region. The sensor is a multilayer structure with alternating layer of condutive and insulating materials. The sensor structure has three electrodes: a touch plate, a guard layer, a ground plane, each of which are separated from each other by insulating layers. The sensor is operated by detection electronic circuitry which function in a either a self excited mode or an externally excited mode. This sensor is capable of detecting objects in a sensing region several feet away from the sensing surface and is particularly suitable for automobile applications, such as detecting potentially jamming objects in power (auto-closing) windows, doors, and the like.

    摘要: A method for detecting contact with a manually activated steering or control device, in particular a vehicle steering wheel, comprises the following steps: applying an alternating voltage to at least one conductor arrangement (10) which is arranged on the steering or control device, and has at least one conductor line with a significant ohmic resistance; determining the current profile in the conductor arrangement (10); determining the real component and the virtual component of the instantaneous alternating current resistance of the conductor arrangement (10); determining the capacitance or the change in capacitance of the conductor arrangement (10); determining the phase shift; and evaluating the determined values. A device for carrying out the method comprises a steering or control device, in particular a vehicle steering wheel, a conductor arrangement (10) which is arranged on the steering or control device and which has at least one conductor line with a significant ohmic resistance, and a control and evaluation device which is configured to apply an alternating voltage to the conductor arrangement (10), to measure the current profile in the conductor arrangement (10) and to evaluate the determined values.

    摘要: Provided are a touch sensor and a method of operating the same. The touch sensor includes: a pulse signal generator for generating a pulse signal of which pulse width is calibrated in response to a control code; a pulse signal transmitter for transmitting the pulse signal when a touch object is out of contact with a touch pad and stopping transmitting the pulse signal when the touch object is in contact with the touch pad; a pulse signal detector for detecting the pulse signal transmitted through the pulse signal transmitter; and a controller recognizing a non-contact state and adjusting the control code to calibrate the pulse width of the pulse signal when the pulse signal detector detects the pulse signal. In the above-described configuration, the contact of the touch object with the touch pad can be sensed more precisely, and the occurrence of a malfunction in the touch sensor due to changed operating conditions can be prevented. As a result, the operating reliability of the touch sensor can be enhanced.
