摘要： There is provided an image forming apparatus comprising a user interface for setting of image forming operation, a sheet feeder section including a plurality of sheet stacks and a sheet transport system, a first printing section including a first fusing assembly for partial fusing of toner images of four colors and robust fusing of toner images of black and white or highlight color and a duplexing assembly, and a second printing section including a second fusing assembly for robust fusing of toner images of four colors. The secondary printing section is connected and disposed at one of both sides of the first printing section, the sheet feeder section is connected and disposed at the other side, and the sections are used in an integrated state. The image forming apparatus further comprises a finishing section connected and disposed at one side of the secondary printing station and having an output portion.

摘要： A variable torque device for maintaining constant tension in a web of material as the web is unwound from a supply roll. The variable torque device includes a lead screw attached to the shaft of the supply roll via an appropriate gear ratio. A coil spring is located between a hub on the lead screw and a set of rings and friction pads. As the lead screw rotates, the hub translates, thus changing the displacement of the coil spring, which in turn changes the loading of the rings and friction pads. With a full supply roll the coil spring is compressed so as to create an amount of torque to create the desired web tension. As the supply roll unwinds, the rotation of the lead screw translates the hub to expand the coil spring, reducing the torque and maintaining the web tension constant.

摘要： An electrostatographic reproduction apparatus includes: a primary imaging member for producing an electrostatic latent image on a receiver, a development station for applying toner particles to the latent image to form a developed toner image on the receiver, a fuser assembly for fixing the developed toner image to form a fused toner image on the receiver, and a transport member for transporting the receiver to or from the fuser assembly. The transport member includes a substrate and an oil-absorbing layer that contains inorganic particles dispersed in an organic binder and is capable of absorbing release oil applied to the receiver bearing the fused toner image.

摘要： The invention provides a double-faced image formation system that prevents transfer and adhesion of a lubricant to an image retaining conveyer and an intermediate transfer part. The system is provided with, on a return path for reversing and conveying a sheet having toner images fixed on one side thereof, a front face electrifying unit and a rear face electrifying unit. Oil adhered on the rear face of the sheet in a fixation unit by the rear face electrifying unit is electrified to a negative polarity, and the oil adhered on the rear face is made impossible to transfer to an intermediate transfer belt. The oil adhered on the front face of the sheet in the fixation unit by the front face electrifying unit is electrified to a positive polarity, and the oil adhered on the front face is made impossible to transfer to a secondary transfer conveyance belt.

摘要： A fixing device comprises an upper heat roller and a lower heat roller which, by contact rotations of their roller surfaces, thermally fix images on cut sheets passing therebetween. The fixing device further comprises a single oil roller which supplies oil for cut sheet release to the upper and lower heat rollers. When conveying to a process unit a cut sheet B1 to be back-side printed which has been delivered via a circulation path, a conveyance control unit forms a conveyance spacing L2 from a precedent cut sheet A5, which spacing conforms to one turn or more of the lower heat roller, so as to ensure uniform application of oil from the upper heat roller to the lower heat roller during the cut sheet vacant interval.

摘要： A fixing apparatus of the present invention is provided with (i) a roller, to which releaser gets applied (ii) a releaser applying member for applying the releaser on the roller by touching the roller while the roller is rotating, and (iii) a releaser dripping section for dripping the releaser to be applied on the roller by the releaser applying section, the fixing apparatus further including a guiding member for receiving the releaser dripped from the releaser dripping section, and for guiding, along a surface thereof, a certain amount of a total amount of the thus received releaser to a touch position at which the releaser applying member touches the roller. With this arrangement, it is possible to provide a fixing apparatus in which reduction in the amount of the releaser to be applied on the roller is avoided so as to surely prevent the toner offset and the jamming in the convey path, even if toner and/or debris is adhered, as a result of long use of the image forming apparatus, on the touch position at which the releaser applying member for applying the releaser touches the roller to which the releaser applying member applies the releaser.

The regulation blade abuts the application roller so that an extension direction of the regulation blade towards the application roller is substantially counter to a circumferential moving direction of the application roller and is provided with a chamfer at a corner between major and minor surfaces of the regulation blade at a chamfer angle of 30-70 degrees between an extension direction of the major surface and the chamfer of the regulation blade. The regulation blade abuts the application roller at an abutting angle of 30-50 degrees between the major surface and a tangent line of the application roller.

The ratio (VKS)/(VTS) of a viscosity (VKS) of the mixture-use silicone oil at 25° C. to a viscosity (VTS) of the application-use silicone oil at 25° C. ranges from 50/1 to 1/10. By using the oil application device, releasing oil can be applied to a thermal fixing roller uniformly. The oil application amount control layer does not peel off or is not displaced during operation, and no oil exudes during nonuse.
