摘要： A safety locking device for engaging the trigger guard assembly of a firearm. A preferred embodiment includes a housing having a slot formed therein and configured to receive the trigger and trigger guard portion of a firearm, and a locking mechanism to prevent removal of the firearm from the device. The locking mechanism further comprises a locking assembly operably attached to a locking rod which can be moved into or out of a channel containing a ball that when held in place by the rod causes the slot that contains the trigger guard to narrow sufficiently to prevent the removal of the trigger guard and thus the firearm. The lock may comprise a conventional key-operated lock or an electronic lock. The locking device is designed primarily to be incorporated into a holster.

Mirror elements may be used to insure that the light produced by the lamp is spread relatively uniformly to all of the photoluminescent elements. Depending on the size of the weapon disposed in the holster apparatus, a plurality of lamps may be used, and a switch, which is preferably spring loaded to the off position, is actuated as desired by the user of the holster and weapon.

摘要： A gun retention system is provided for an officer to securely lock his weapon inside his holster while at the same time allowing quick and easy drawing of the weapon and maintaining a physical connection between the weapon and the officer's security belt. The gun retention system comprises a weapon grip, a security belt, and a spool housing. The weapon grip contains a connector which attaches to the security belt and can be either right-handed or left-handed. The other end of security belt is connected to a spool and is coiled around the spool inside the spool housing. The spool housing can be mounted on the service belt directly behind an existing holder or can be integrally attached to a holster. A spool lock button on the spool housing provides safe and quick locking and unlocking of the gun inside the holster. The security belt does not interfere with the officer's ability to load, draw, aim and fire his weapon when needed. Tension in the security belt can be adjusted to the officer's desire.

摘要： A locking apparatus is adapted for locking a firearm or the like received in a holster, so that the firearm may not move appreciably while received in the holster and so that the firearm may be quickly withdrawn. The locking apparatus is particularly useful with speed holsters which provide minimal support for the weapon received therein. The preferred locking apparatus includes an activating member connected to a locking member. A suitable clamp or base member connects the activating and locking members to an inside surface of the holster. The locking apparatus is adapted to be positioned in an unlocked position in which the activating member extends generally transversely into the holster in position to be contacted as a firearm is inserted, and in which the locking member is retracted so as to lie generally adjacent an inner surface of the holster. Further, the locking apparatus is adapted to be moved to a locked position as a firearm is inserted into the holster, with the activating member displaced downwardly and the locking member extended into the holster so as to contact the firearm and retain it securely against a portion of the holster.

摘要： This invention comprises an illuminated gunsight attachment for mounting on a weapon to permit the user to aim and shoot in low-light conditions. The illuminated gunsight includes a light-emitting diode for a front sight and an illuminated rod for a rear sight. The invention also includes a magnetic switch which automatically activates the power circuit to illuminate the sights as the revolver is withdrawn from its holster. The illuminated gunsight attachment is mounted unobtrusively on the barrel of a weapon to permit use of either conventional sight posts of the weapon or the illuminated sights of the invention. In one embodiment the rear sight is formed by a set of parallel lines comprised of flourescent markings located on opposite sides of an illuminated line. The invention also includes a firearm holster with a magnet thereon for activating the illuminated gunsight as it is withdrawn from the holster.

摘要： A handgun holster of the type including a pair of side-by-side upstanding panels joined together along corresponding upstanding edges to form an upwardly opening recess for receiving all but the butt and trigger guard portions of a downwardly directed handgun inserted barrel first downwardly into said recess. A latch member is provided and includes a generally horizontally directed portion extending generally transverse of the panels and is supported from the holster for back and forth shifting between operative and inoperative positions. Spring structure is provided for yieldingly biasing the latch to a position with the horizontally directed portion in its operative position and a readily releasable latch retaining structure is operatively associated with the holder and latch member for retaining the latch member in the operative position thereof. The horizontally directed portion of the latch member extends through the planes of the panels adjacent the intersections of the upper ends of one pair of upstanding edge portions of the panels and the adjacent ends of the upper edges of the panels when the latch member is in its operative position and the horizontally directed portion of the latch member being horizontally retracted to one side of the planes of the panels when the latch member is in the inoperative position, the horizontally directed portion, when the latch member is in its operative position, passing through the area enclosed by a handgun trigger guard and thus preventing withdrawal of the handgun from the holster.

摘要： The bear spray holster with sound alarm is intended to prevent bear attacks on humans. The holster includes a cylindrical body for securing an aerosol canister and a portable alarm. In addition, the holster includes a pull strap that is configured to connect the canister to the detachable pull ring on the portable alarm. By securing both ends of the pull strap, the portable alarm activates when the canister is removed from the cylindrical body. During a bear encounter, the user can easily remove the canister from the holster and activate the portable alarm, all in one motion. Although bears typically hold their breath during a short-range charge or assault, the sound of the alarm disrupts the bear's breathing pattern. This disruption gives the user the best opportunity to spray in the direction of the bear, causing the bear to inhale more of the chemical repellant and retreat.
