The end member has a curl at least substantially defining a perimeter of the can end, a chuck wall extending downwardly and radially inwardly from the curl, and a central panel wall centered about a longitudinal axis. The central panel wall has a product side and a public side. The public side has a means for opening a frangible panel segment. The end member also has a fold joining the chuck wall with the central panel wall. The fold has an opening. A fluid is located adjacent the opening.

摘要： The invention covers a number of alternative improvements to the prior art pull-tab used to open container such as soda cans. One improvement is by forming the nose of the pull tab at a certain angle to the body of the tab, thus allowing the user to tilt the tab thus lifting the pull tip higher and providing more room for the user to insert the finger tip under the pull tip thus making it easier to open the container. Another improvement is by rotating the pull tab a certain angle and making it follow a caming surface thus lifting the pull tip and again providing more room to insert the finger tip and making it easier to open the container.

摘要： A can lid of a can provided with an easily openable opening means is disclosed wherein the can lid is equipped with a can lid which is fastened by winding tightly on the can main body and the top end opening of the can main body, a score section installed around the territory of the prearranged opening area and a tab for severing the score section. In the can lid, there is formed a protrusion protruding upward from the can lid in front of the can opening during manufacturing of the can lid, in which it is a collapsing protrusion where the protrusion elastically deforms into the can main body by depressing motion of the user and thereby enables forming of a concave section for easy insertion of the user's finger.

摘要： An easy open can end is disclosed having an attached tear strip across a portion of the can end outlined by a score line, and a round-shaped pull tab secured to the can end adjacent the attached tear strip, the pull tab including a nose portion having a clevis formed in an offset location relative to the pull tab's longitudinal centerline, the can end including a pivot ridge member formed in a centered position relative to the logitudinal centerline of the attached pull tab for assisting in maximizing the offset forces applied by the pull tab's nose portion. The offset clevis operates to create reduced opening forces when opening the can end, including a reduced initial "pop" pressure and a reduced "tear" pressure. These reduced forces result by having the offset clevis cause the initial "pop" opening to occur along only one side of the tear strip's score line and then the opening tear occurs sequentially along the remainder of the score line. This permits use of a score line of reduced depth, thereby leaving additional residual metal at the score line area, which increased residual metal results in less can leakage due to less incidents of unwanted score line fracture. The present invention's offset clevis tab pull is usable with can ends formed of steel and aluminum.

摘要： An improved integral opening and recapping device incorporated in the top of conventional aluminium top container constructed with an opening tab pivotally mounted to a pivot rivet centrally located on the container top, the tab having a detent edge engageable with a scored aperture flap for forced displacement of the flap to form an aperture, the tab having further a lever portion for operating the detent edge, the underside of the lever portion forming a sealing lip which on pivoting of the tab about the rivet, is engageable with the aperture to hermetically seal the container. The container top has a protective recess into which the sealing lip is nestled for protection of the lip from contamination prior to use.

An elongated dispensing opening 3 in a raised portion 2a of an end wall of a container is closed by a flexible tab 4 heat-sealed along lines 6a, 6b surrounding the opening. A lip 5 facilitates the pulling back of the tab 4 to the joint 6a to open the container. The joint 6a may be curved so that the tab 4 can be formed into a dispensing trough, Fig. 4. After breaking the seal the opening may be closed by depressing the tab into it. The end wall may be of polyethylene or a coating thereof on cardboard, and the tab may be of aluminium sheet which is similarly coated.
