    摘要: An inflation device mechanism (10) for inflation of an inflatable article comprises a housing (11) for supporting a container (18) of pressurized fluid and a piercing device (16) displaceable from a retracted position to penetrate the container to release pressurized fluid, bias means (22) to move the piercing device to penetrate the container, and actuation means comprising co-operating latching elements (26, 30) which, in an engaged, latched configuration, retain the piercing device retracted, said actuation means being actuable by either a first (35) or a second (36) control member to allow the latching elements to disengage and permit the piercing device to penetrate the container under action of the bias means, the first control member (35) comprising a water sensitive member which surrounds the latching elements and has a strength sufficient normally to support the latching elements in the engaged configuration but to allow the elements to disengage when reduced in strength by exposure to water, and the second control member (36) comprising a member which surrounds the co-operating elements and is removable manually (38) whereby the latching elements are free to disengage.

A needle-shaped shaft is driven by a transmission arm to pierce a seal of a gas cylinder on the inflator. Thus compressed gas in the gas cylinder is released and flowing through the inflator to inflate the object. The needle-shaped shaft is arranged with two color areas for representing state of the inflator. The color area is displayed through windows of the inflator to show the state now. The inflator features on simple structure, convenience in use, reduced cost and precise movement.

A first coupling member (20) of the first part is pivotally arranged about a pivot between an inactive position and an actuating position, in which the first coupling member, direct or indirect, causing the mutual displacement of the gas cartridge and the penetration element.

    摘要: A trigger device enabling a larger actuating force to be restrained by a smaller control force comprises a housing in which is rotatably mounted a primary lever biased to rotate from a cocked position to a firing position by a tension spring. The tension spring is located such that the rotational bias to the primary lever is significantly greater in the firing position than in the cocked position. The trigger device is typically used for both automatic and manual release of compressed gas from a bottle to an inflatable life-saving aid by way of a piercing pin moved by a cam surface on a secondary lever which can be manually rotated by a toggle or automatically by the primary lever on the dissolving of a water-soluble tablet restraining the primary lever in the cocked position.

The pin is positioned within the shell in order to open a seal of the inflation canister. The restraining element is positioned within the shell and is positioned to prevent the pin from opening the seal of the inflation canister. The restraining element is dissolvable. The barrier is positioned within the shell. The barrier includes a fluid resistant skin and a heating element coupled to the fluid resistant skin. The heating element may open a portion of the barrier responsive to an electrical current running through the heating element.
