Abstract: Disclosed herein is a display apparatus. The display apparatus includes: a liquid crystal panel; and a backlight unit configured to emit light to the liquid crystal panel. The backlight unit includes: a substrate extending along a first direction; a light emitting diode provided on the substrate; a refractive cover provided on the light emitting diode to refract light emitted from the light emitting diode; and a lens provided on the substrate and the refractive cover, the lens comprising a bottom surface having a first length in the first direction that is less than a second length in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction.

Abstract: A display apparatus is provided. The display apparatus includes: a backlight unit including a substrate and light sources configured to emit light to a liquid crystal panel; and a processor configured to: identify a plurality of dimming blocks, each of which includes at least one light source among the plurality of light sources; predict a temperature for each of the plurality of dimming blocks based on a dimming signal corresponding to an input image and current-specific temperature profile information corresponding to the plurality of dimming blocks; update the dimming signal based on the temperature predicted for each of the plurality of dimming blocks; and control a supply current for each of the plurality of dimming blocks based on the dimming signal.

The power wire is arranged between the nth row corresponding to the first dimming block and the (n+1)th row.
