Abstract: Method and apparatus for an initial E2E discovery procedure in direct NTN networks. The apparatus receives, from a network entity, an indication indicating support for a direct NTN communication. The direct NTN communication between the first UE and at least a second UE bypasses ground-based feeder links. The apparatus transmits, to the network entity, a communication request for the direct NTN communication with at least the second UE based on the indication indicating support for the direct NTN communication. The communication request is transmitted to the second UE via the direct NTN communication. The apparatus receives, from the second UE, a communication request feedback message indicating that the second UE is reachable over the direct NTN communication. The communication request feedback message is received from the second UE via the direct NTN communication.

Abstract: A method of assessing a reported UE location includes: receiving, at a network entity, the reported UE location; obtaining, at the network entity, a first signal frequency difference indicating a first difference between a received frequency of a first signal received by the UE corresponding to a first transmit signal of a first transmit frequency transmitted from a first non-terrestrial-network node, and a received frequency of a second signal received by the UE corresponding to a second transmit signal of a second transmit frequency transmitted from a second non-terrestrial-network node that is separate from the first non-terrestrial-network node; and providing, by the network entity, a UE location assessment indication based on the first signal frequency difference and a second difference between an expected frequency of the first signal at the reported UE location and an expected frequency of the second signal at the reported UE location.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network node, downlink control information (DCI) that schedules a downlink transmission and one or more repetitions of the downlink transmission. The DCI may indicate a first uplink resource for a first feedback message indicating whether the UE receives the downlink transmission and the one or more repetitions. Based on receiving the DCI, the UE may select a second uplink resource for a second feedback message indicating feedback that the UE received the DCI, where the second uplink resource occurs prior to the first uplink resource in a time domain. The UE may transmit the second feedback message on the second uplink resource. The UE and the network node may be part of a non-terrestrial network and, in some examples, may apply a configuration indicated in the DCI based on the second feedback message.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for obtaining constellation information and trajectory information of one or more non-terrestrial network (NTN) entities in a NTN; determining a position of a user equipment (UE) in communication with the apparatus; determining a signal projection cone based on the position of the user equipment, a position of the apparatus, and a beam width of a beam used for the communication between the user equipment and the apparatus; determining that the one or more NTN entities are located within the signal projection cone; and transmitting a first signal to the user equipment based on the determination that the one or more NTN entities are located within the signal projection cone.
