Abstract: Aspects are provided in which a UE and a base station are configured to manage a multi-configuration HARQ message. The base station may generate a control signal including an HARQ configuration and transmit the control signal to the UE. The HARQ configuration may include a timing information and/or a transmission method. The HARQ configuration may include a first configuration for ACK and a second configuration for NACK. The first configuration may be different from the second configuration. The UE may apply the corresponding HARQ configuration to an ACK or NACK message in response to the control signal from the base station. The base station may also transmit the HARQ configuration prior to the control signal. Thus, the ACK message generated and transmitted based on the first configuration different from the second configuration may have improved reliability to increase the stability of the 5G network.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a configuration for a set of bandwidth part groups including an intra-group switching delay and an inter-group switching delay, where the intra-group switching delay is smaller than the inter-group switching delay. The UE may communicate with a base station on a first bandwidth part of a first bandwidth part group of the set of bandwidth part groups. The UE may switch to a second bandwidth part of the first bandwidth part group based at least in part on the intra-group switching delay, or the UE may switch to a third bandwidth part of a second bandwidth part group based at least in part on the inter-group switching delay. The UE may communicate with the base station on the second bandwidth part or the third bandwidth part based on switching.

Abstract: A RAN node can indicate to a UE that a compact measurement report is to be used for beam measurements in a measurement report. A compact measurement report uses beam index numbers to indicate a position in a reference set. The reference set has a listing of resource indicators for beam measurements. As such, a reported beam measurement associated with a beam index number is also associated with the resource indicator positioned in the reference set indicated by the beam index number. The beam index numbers can be transmitted using fewer bits than are used for a resource indicator. The payload for a measurement report such as a L-SINR or L-RSP L1 measurement report is thereby reduced when the measurement report is transmitted as a compact measurement report.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, capability signaling indicating one or more phase coherency capabilities of the UE for maintaining phase coherence across multiple uplink messages within a time interval, wherein each phase coherency capability is based on one or more channel usage characteristics associated with the time interval. The UE may receive, from the base station, a downlink message scheduling a set of uplink messages from the UE to the base station within the time interval. The UE may transmit the set of uplink messages within the time interval based on the downlink message and in accordance with at least one of the one or more phase coherency capabilities.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a first random access channel (RACH) message multiple times over corresponding RACH occasions until a second RACH message is received from a base station in a random access response (RAR) window. The multiple times the first RACH message is transmitted may include preamble sequences that are selected from a subset of preamble sequences configured for this repetitive first RACH message transmission scheme. Additionally, a subset of UEs may use this repetitive first RACH message transmission scheme based on a condition of a link between the UE and the base station, an exposure condition of the UE, other measurements, etc. In some cases, a shortened RAR window length may be configured for this repetitive first RACH message transmission scheme.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to dynamically configuring sounding reference signal (SRS) resources are provided. In some aspects, a base station may measure a SRS transmission transmitted by a user equipment (UE) and receive, using a receive beam selected based on the measuring, a transmission from the UE. In some aspects, a UE may transmit a SRS transmission; and receive, from the BS, a downlink control information (DCI) message including a SRS resource indicator (SRI) for use by the UE in selecting a beam to transmit to the BS. The SRS transmission may be transmitted using a SRS resource and may have a SRS parameter that is indicated in or related to a triggering message, or related to a transmission parameter of a communication between the BS and the UE.

Abstract: Aspects relate to techniques for signaling the capability of a wireless communication device (e.g., a UE) to support demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling for channel estimation across two or more slots in the sidelink or uplink. In some examples, a transmitting UE may transmit a DMRS bundling indication to a receiving device (e.g., a receiving UE for sidelink DMRS bundling or a base station for uplink DMRS bundling). The DMRS bundling indication may indicate a capability of the transmitting UE to support DMRS bundling. The transmitting UE may then transmit a respective set of DMRSs within each of two or more slots during a DMRS bundling window to the receiving device based on the transmitting wireless communication device and the receiving device supporting DMRS bundling.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for determining tone patterns and associated power levels for transmission of reference signals. A tone pattern (e.g., with each tone pattern occupying a resource element in a resource block) can be determined for a reference signal for use in wireless communications between a receiving device and a transmitting device. A plurality of power levels for the tone pattern can be determined. The plurality of power levels can include a respective power level determined for each resource element associated with the tone pattern. One or more of the tone pattern or the plurality of power levels can be used (e.g., transmitted to the transmitting device) for transmission of the reference signal (e.g., from the transmitting device to the receiving device).

Abstract: A method of wireless communication may include a UE and a base station. The base station may configure, for the UE, a search space associated with a first CORESET and a second CORESET, and transmit a PDCCH within the configured search space. The UE may monitor for the PDCCH based on the configuration of the search space, where at least one PDCCH candidate may include components associated with different CORESETs on different monitoring occasions. The PDCCH candidate may include a first subset within the first CORESET and a second subset within the second CORESET. The PDCCH candidate may include a third subset including a first and second components, and at least one of the first and second components may be itself a PDCCH candidate within the first or second subset of the PDCCH candidates.
