    Abstract: It is provided a method, comprising determining a respective elevation of each of plural beams from an access point based on stored configuration data, wherein each of the plural beams is identified by a respective identification included in an indication comprising the identification of the respective beam and an information on a respective received beam power, and the indication is received from a terminal; selecting a first beam and a second beam among the plural beams such that the elevation of the first beam is different from the elevation of the second beam; retrieving, from the stored configuration data, a transmit power of the first beam and a transmit power of the second beam; estimating an estimated elevation of a line connecting the access point and the terminal based on the received beam powers, the transmit powers, and the elevations.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to reference signal transmission alignment. In particular, a target device determines whether a reference signal transmission alignment is needed among a set of anchor devices. If the reference signal transmission alignment is needed, an anchor device receives a request for the reference signal transmission alignment. The anchor device determines a transmission time window based on the request and transmits a reference signal as per the transmission time window. In this way, it can mitigate an impact of synchronization timing reference change at the target device in measurement. Consequently, the solution allows for high accuracy measurements and hence enables high accuracy sidelink positioning.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a positioning approach. In an aspect, an apparatus obtains identities (IDs) assigned to L terminal devices, wherein the L terminal devices are assigned with K different IDs based on positions of the L terminal devices such that a group of N IDs identify a position range, at least one ID among the K different IDs is assigned to two or more terminal devices among the L terminal devices, and K is less than L; and receives, from N terminal devices among the L terminal devices, N IDs of the N terminal devices, the N IDs and positions of the N terminal devices being for determining a position of a target device, the target device being in the position range identified by the group of the N IDs. The embodiments of the present disclosure can minimize activator power to transmit an activation signal.
