Abstract:
An optical scanning device has a light source for irradiating a beam; a scanning optical system for allowing the beam to deflectively scan a scanned surface; and a housing for supporting the light source and the scanning optical system. The housing includes opposed facing first and second side surfaces. A first frame faces the first side surface or a surface near the first surface. A second frame faces the second surface of the housing. A first support supports the first side surface or a side surface near the same at two points with the first frame. A second support supports the second side surface at one point with the second frame. A forcible contact mechanism generates a biasing force for urging the first side surface toward the first frame; and an adjusting mechanism on the second support adjusts a deviation of the housing over a horizontal plane.
Abstract:
A positive electrode plate (3) of a nickel-metal hydride rechargeable cell contains nickel hydroxide particles (18), a coating layer (19) covering at least a part of a surface of each nickel hydroxide particle (18) and mainly composed of a cobalt compound having an average valence of cobalt more than 2, and Nb-based particles (15) and Y-based particles (16) distributed among the nickel hydroxide particles (18). A negative electrode plate (4) contains a hydrogen storage alloy having a Co content of equal to or less than 2.0% by mass, a separator (5) contains fiber having a sulfo group, and an alkaline electrolyte solution contains sodium hydroxide as a main solute.
Abstract:
An imager apparatus is provided. The imager apparatus includes: a housing that stores a lens device with an imaging lens exposed to the front surface facing a subject; and a lens cover attached to the housing, being movable between a first position covering the imaging lens and a second position opening the same. The lens device includes a lens barrel supporting a lens system including the imaging lens in a fixed and/or movable manner, whose forefront part protrudes forward compared with the imaging lens. A stepped portion corresponding to a level difference between the forefront part of the lens barrel and the imaging lens is provided at part of the front surface of the housing, where the lens device is stored. A peaked portion protruding into the stepped portion to eliminate a gap between the lens cover and the housing is provided on the lens cover.
Abstract:
The hydrous ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer hydrolyzate (EVOH) pellets of the present invention are characterized in that they are hydrous pellets of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer hydrolyzate (EVOH) (A) having an ethylene content of 5 to 60 mole percent and a degree of saponification of not less than 90 mole percent and have a water content of 5 to 60% by weight and a storage elastic modulus at 20° C. of 2×106 to 5×107 Pa. These hydrous pellets preferably contain a small amount of an alcohol (B) containing 1 to 5 carbon atoms and/or a small amount of at least one compound (C) selected from the group consisting of a boron compound (c1), acetic acid (c2), an alkaline metal acetate (c3), an alkaline earth metal acetate (c4) and a phosphoric acid compound (c5).
Abstract:
A developing device includes a developing roller, toner supplying roller, regulation blade, and casing. The developing roller faces an image carrier on which an electrostatic latent image is to be formed, and supplies toner to the image carrier. The toner supplying roller faces the developing roller, and supplies the toner to the developing roller. The regulation blade faces the toner supplying roller at predetermined distance. The casing houses the developing roller, toner supplying roller, and regulation blade. The casing includes a toner catching support member facing the developing roller or the toner supplying roller between the regulation blade and the image carrier. The developing device further includes a toner catching member, which is arranged along a longitudinal direction of the toner catching support member and catches toner that drops from the developing roller, and a vibration generating portion, which vibrates the toner catching member.

A positive plate (3) of a nickel-metal hydride rechargeable cell includes nickel hydroxide particles (18), a coating layer (19) that coats at least a part of the surface of each of the nickel hydroxide particles (18) and includes a cobalt compound as a base, in which the average valence of cobalt is more than bivalent, and additives (15), (16) that are distributed between the nickel hydroxide particles (18) and contain niobium and yttrium. A negative plate (4) includes hydrogen storage alloy with a cobalt content of 2.0 percent by mass or less, and a separator (5) includes fiber having a sulfo group. Alkaline electrolyte contains sodium hydroxide as a base for a solute.
Abstract:
A valve apparatus for preventing the reverse of a thrust force and the generation of oscillation by smoothing a fluid flowing, including: an upper plug and an upper sheet ring which are for adjusting flow of fluid to an upper current path; and a lower plug and a lower sheet ring which are provided on the same axis as the upper plug and the upper sheet ring, and are for adjusting flow of fluid to a lower current path, wherein the generation of oscillation noise can be prevented by making the upper flowing path and the lower flowing path as different shapes, by making the upper and lower plug shape different, by making the plug operation stable with the reverse of the thrust force being prevented by making the fluid amount for the upper flowing path being increased, with the upper and lower sheet ring being formed as one body.
Abstract:
A supporting shaft of a paper roll supports the paper roll and is supported by first to third supporting elements contacting internally an inner circumferential surface of a core cylinder of the paper roll at three circumferentially spaced points, as seen in a longitudinal direction of the core cylinder. A first supporting member provided with the first supporting element and a second supporting member provided with the second supporting element are fixed in opposition to each other by means of a short and small size core shafts or spindles provided at opposite longitudinal ends of the two supporting members. Since the shafts fixedly mounting the first and second supporting members are of small size, the paper roll supporting shaft can be reduced in weight, assembly can be improved, cost of production can be reduced.
