    Abstract: This application provides a route processing method and a network device that are applied to the Internet. Specifically, the method includes: A first network device determines that a first BGP route is unavailable, and then the first network device determines a second BGP route associated with the first BGP route, where the first BGP route and the second BGP route are from a same autonomous system AS. In other words, a path through which the first BGP route is transmitted and a path through which the second BGP route is transmitted include the same AS. Then, the first network device reduces a priority of the second BGP route.

    Abstract: In a data transmission method, a transmit end may obtain a first application message generated by a target application running on the transmit end. The transmit end encapsulates the first application message to obtain a first data frame, where the first data frame includes a first frame type identifier, and the first frame type identifier indicates that an application message included in the first data frame is a complete application message. The transmit end transmits the first data frame to a receive end based on an established QUIC connection to the receive end. After receiving the first data frame, the receive end may determine, based on the first frame type identifier in the first data frame, that the application message included in the first data frame is a complete application message.

In those embodiments, a centralized management apparatus receives a first packet from a first network device by using a first IGP monitoring protocol session, where the first packet includes a first message sent by the first network device to a second network device. The centralized management apparatus receives a second packet from the second network device through a second IGP monitoring protocol session, where the second packet includes a second message sent by the second network device to the first network device. The centralized management apparatus performs fault diagnosis based on the first packet and the second packet.

    Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose a route advertisement method and a route generation method, to improve route convergence efficiency and reduce a packet loss rate. The route advertisement method includes: A first network device obtains routing information of a destination device. The first network device generates a first route advertisement message, where the first route advertisement message includes the routing information of the destination device, a routing prefix, and first indication information. The first network device sends the first route advertisement message to a second network device. The first route advertisement message is used to indicate the second network device to generate a route to the destination device based on the routing information of the destination device. The first indication information is used to indicate the second network device to iterate, to a route corresponding to the routing prefix, the route to the destination device.

    Abstract: A Border Gateway Protocol Monitoring Protocol (BMP) module sends to a Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) module a request for acquiring a capability information set; the BGP module traverses BGP capability data stored in the BGP module to acquire all BGP capability data configured in the network device and sends all the BGP capability to the BMP module; and the BMP module sends to the monitoring server an initial capability information set message carrying all the BGP capability data and a device identifier of the network device. By means of capability extension of a network device, the network device can acquire, through interaction between a BGP module and a BMP module, all BGP capabilities configured in the network device and send all the BGP capabilities to a monitoring server, so that the monitoring server can fully understand actual capability supported by the entire network, further providing an effective basis for deployment of and decision on the entire network.
