Abstract: A user-held or otherwise supported electrosurgical device can include an endpiece, a fixed first coil or other electromagnetic energy transmitter or receiver and a rotatable second coil or other electromagnetic energy transmitter or receiver wirelessly energized by the first coil. The rotatable second coil can be affixed to a rotatable member extending distally from the endpiece. This can permit unrestricted rotation without being encumbered by wiring or electrical contacts across a plane of rotation.

Abstract: Forceps including a frame and a motion transfer assembly to transfer forces from or more actuators to an end effector. The motion transfer assembly can include a body having a passageway, a drive shaft extending through the passageway, and a drive link. The body and the drive shaft slidable with respect to the frame, and the body rotationally fixed to the drive shaft to transfer a rotational input received from a first actuator into a rotational motion of the drive shaft relative to the frame. The drive link operably coupled to the frame and the body to transfer a force received from a second actuator into a linear motion of the body and the drive shaft relative to the frame.

Abstract: A surgical tool can include an outer tube, an end effector, an inner tube, and a distal plug. The outer tube can extend along a longitudinal axis and the outer tube can include a pair of outer arms. The end effector can be connected to the outer arms. The inner tube can be located within the outer tube and can extend along the longitudinal axis. The inner tube can be connected to the end effector and the inner tube can be translatable along the outer tube to operate the end effector. The distal plug can be securable to the outer tube between the outer arms proximal of the end effector. The distal plug can include a wire routing bore extending therethrough.

Abstract: Surgical forceps can include a drive pin an outer tube, a first jaw, a second jaw, and an inner tube. The outer tube can define a longitudinal axis. The first jaw can be pivotably connected to the outer tube. The first jaw can include a pair of flanges located at a proximal portion of the first jaw, where each flange can include a track receiving the drive pin. The inner tube can be located within the outer tube and can extend along the longitudinal axis. The inner tube can include a pair of arms extending from a distal portion of the inner tube. The drive pin can be securable to the pair of arms. The inner tube can be translatable within the outer tube to drive the drive pin along the tracks to move the second jaw between open and closed positions.
