    摘要： A fusing apparatus and method for an image forming apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus and method comprise a heating roller rotatably mounted in a support frame, a pressing roller for rotating in contact with the heating roller, and defining a predetermined nip area by contact with the heating roller, a hinge bracket mounted in the support frame, and supporting either the pressing roller or the heating roller so that either roller rotates in contact with the other roller, first and second elastic members facing each other with the hinge bracket interposed therebetween, and elastically pushing the hinge bracket respectively, and a guide member for guiding movement of the hinge bracket while supporting the respective first and second elastic members, wherein the first and the second elastic members compress and expand reciprocally.

    摘要： A fusing device for an electrophotographic image forming apparatus. The fusing device includes a heat pipe, both ends of which are sealed and in which a predetermined amount of a working fluid is contained, a cylindrical roller which surrounds the heat pipe, and a heating element which is installed between the cylindrical roller and the heat pipe. The working fluid is supercooled at room temperature, and crystallizing and producing heat when acted on by a mechanical force, and at least one mechanical unit applies a mechanical force to the heat pipe and crystallizes the supercooled working fluid.

    摘要： A fixing device of an image forming apparatus includes a fixing roller rotatably mounted on a moving path of a printing medium having a toner image transferred thereon to fuse the toner image on the printing medium, a heater mounted in the fixing roller to generate a magnetic field by applied voltage, thus heating the fixing roller, and at least one magnetic core disposed around the fixing roller to concentrate, onto the fixing roller, the magnetic field generated by driving the heater. Accordingly, a density difference of the magnetic field generated by the heater is minimized by disposing the at least one magnetic core around the fixing rollers, thus enabling a uniform fixing temperature.

The fusing roller includes a coil unit resistance heated by a predetermined alternating current, and generating an alternating magnetic flux by the alternating current. A heating roller unit is heated by an induced current generated by the alternating magnetic flux. An adhering unit is formed of a non-magnetic material and is installed to contact the inside of the coil unit to elastically bias the coil unit toward the heating roller unit to adhere the coil unit onto the heating roller unit.
