Abstract: Presented herein are techniques for scheduling Ultra-Wideband (UWB) anchors and mobile devices for client ranging. A control device can determine respective ranging priorities for a plurality of mobile devices, which are each assigned to at least one UWB anchor. The control device can obtain at least one collision mapping identifying, for a respective pair of the mobile devices, a collision probability that a UWB signal associated with a ranging procedure involving a first mobile device of the respective pair will collide with a UWB signal associated with a ranging procedure involving a second mobile device of the respective pair. The control device can establish a ranging schedule for the mobile devices and UWB anchors based on the respective UWB ranging priorities and the collision mapping(s). The control device can send at least one command to cause UWB ranging procedures to be performed according to the ranging schedule.

Abstract: Aggregated health information for a managed network may be retrieved and processed in response to changes to the managed network topology, configuration, or software. In response to receiving notification that a change to a component of the managed network has occurred, a change audit analysis engine can retrieve performance indicator information from components along a traceroute including the component which underwent the change. The retrieved performance indicator information can be processed by a memory based neural network to predict an impact of the change on the aggregated health of the managed network. The predicted impact can be compared to network health information retrieved through an ongoing basis and issues can be determined based on a comparison of the predict impact and the retrieved health information.

Abstract: A server, in communication with a plurality of microservices in a microservices mesh environment, obtains data about inbound communications to a first microservice and outbound communications from the first microservice of the plurality of microservices. The server analyzes the data to learn an operational behavior of the first microservice and determine a firewall rule set to be applied associated with the first microservice based on the operational behavior learned for the first microservice. The server causes a micro-firewall to be instantiated for the first microservice. The micro-firewall is configured to apply the firewall rule set to inbound communications to the first microservice and outbound communications from the first microservice.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a network policy engine obtains a substation configuration description for a substation, indicative of intelligent electronic devices (IEDs), associated network communication devices, and related communication configuration information. The network policy engine then creates a mapping of the IEDs and the associated network communication devices based on the substation configuration description, associating each of the IEDs to a corresponding network port of the associated network communication devices. The network policy engine may then further create network control parameters based on the substation configuration description, which comprise defined communication flows for the IEDs and associated security group tags (SGTs) for the defined communication flows. The techniques herein may then cause the SGTs to be imposed at mapped network ports of the network communication devices for the IEDs according to security group access (SGA)-based network control to thereby establish secure network communication for the IEDs within the particular substation.

Abstract: A cloud orchestration platform obtains from a policy controller, application flow requirements for an application to be deployed in a container network that includes a plurality of microservices. The cloud orchestration platform determines a path through at least a subset of the plurality of microservices based on the application flow requirements, and computes information describing compute resources for workloads associated with the path through the plurality of microservices needed to support the application flow requirements. The cloud orchestration platform creates and/or reserves the workloads among the plurality of microservices. The cloud orchestration platform communicates scheduling requirements to a scheduling driver function associated with the plurality of microservices, the scheduling deriver function using the scheduling requirements to coordinate scheduling of workloads based on the path. The cloud orchestration platform directs traffic associated with the application into the container network.

Abstract: Presented herein are methodologies for managing radio resources in a venue that implements a high density wireless infrastructure. The methodology includes detecting, using wireless access points, neighbor awareness networking (NAN) communications broadcast by a mobile device, determining a wireless channel on which the mobile device is sending the NAN communications, predicting a destination of the mobile device based on a path, through a predetermined venue, being taken by the mobile device, the path being detected using the wireless access points; and implementing a radio resource management remediation technique to reduce radio interference that is expected to be caused by the NAN communications broadcast by the mobile device at the destination based on the wireless channel and the destination.
