摘要: The present invention is directed to a process for the hot dispersing of a paper fiber stock that includes providing an aqueous paper fiber stock and pressing the aqueous fiber stock in a thickening device. In this manner, water is at least partially removed from the aqueous fiber stock to form a highly consistent paper fiber stock. The process further includes heating the highly consistent paper fiber stock, dispersing the heated highly consistent paper fiber stock with a disperser, determining a thermal energy consumed to heat the highly consistent paper fiber stock, and controlling a dewatering effect of the thickening device. The dewatering effect is increased with rising thermal energy consumption and is reduced with a falling thermal energy consumption. The instant abstract is neither intended to define the invention disclosed in this specification nor intended to limit the scope of the invention in any way.

摘要: Process and apparatus for removing solids from an aqueous fiber suspension in a flotation container that includes a drainage section. The process includes adding gas bubbles to the fiber suspension entering the flotation container, and collecting a flotation foam formed within the flotation container. The flotation foam includes the solids to be removed. The process also includes laterally moving the flotation foam in the drainage section, such that at least a portion of fluid within the flotation foam is drained from the flotation foam, collecting the drained fluid in the drainage section, discharging the drained fluid from the drainage section, discharging the flotation foam as a rejects material, and discharging a purified fiber suspension as an accepted stock suspension. The apparatus includes a flotation container, and a drainage section coupled to the flotation container. The drainage section is arranged to drain at least a portion of fluid from a flotation foam. The apparatus also includes a rejects outlet coupled to the drainage section, an accepts outlet coupled to the flotation container, and a fluid collector coupled to the drainage section for collecting the fluid drained from the flotation foam.

摘要: Process and device for draining a fibrous pulp suspension. The process may include positioning two surfaces to converge in a downstream direction, feeding the fibrous pulp suspension between the two converging surfaces, driving at least one of the two converging surfaces to move the suspension with a relative translational velocity, and draining the fibrous pulp suspension through each of the two surfaces. The device may include two arcuate surfaces positioned to form converging surfaces. One of the two arcuate surfaces may include a drivable, pivotable, and rotatable cylinder having an outer sleeve with openings, the other of the two arcuate surfaces may include a screen positioned to be guided around at least a portion of the outer sleeve. The screen and the openings may form drains for draining the fluid pulp suspension.
