Abstract:
A policy associated with a notification received by one or more computer systems is obtained. A first request is submitted, to a service, for a first current capacity of a resource. An amount by which to adjust a capacity of the resource is calculated, based at least in part on the policy and the first current capacity. A second request is submitted, to the service, to adjust the capacity of the resource by the amount. A third request is submitted, to the service, for a second current capacity of the resource, and whether the second request has been fulfilled is determined based at least in part on a comparison between the second current capacity and the response to the third request.
Abstract:
A computing resource associated with a user is scheduled to undergo a transition. Prior to the scheduled transition, the computing resource is placed in a pending state. The user is notified that the computing resource is scheduled to undergo the transition. In response to an input received from the user, the computing resource is allowed to undergo the transition when the input indicates that the transition can proceed.
Abstract:
A scaling policy associated with a notification received by one or more computer systems is obtained. A first request is submitted, to a software container service, for a first current capacity of a resource. An amount by which to adjust a capacity of the resource is calculated, based at least in part on the scaling policy and the first current capacity. A second request is submitted, to the software container service, to adjust the capacity of the resource by the amount. A third request is submitted, to the software container service, for a second current capacity of the resource, and whether the second request has been fulfilled is determined based at least in part on a comparison between the second current capacity and the amount.

Abstract:
A computing resource service provider may provide computing instances organized into logical groups, such as auto-scale groups. Computing instances assigned to an auto-scale group may be associated with one or more load balancers configured to direct traffic to the computing instances. Furthermore, customers of the computing resource service provider may add or remove load balancer from the auto-scale groups.
