Abstract: A mobile access device includes a memory, a user interface, a transceiver, and a control module. The memory stores a service application. The user interface receives an input from a user to execute the service application. The transceiver signals a vehicle to establish a connection and initiate a location determining process to determine a location of the mobile access device within the vehicle. The control module: determines whether the service application is permitted to be executed based on the location of the mobile access device; based on the location of the mobile access device, performs an identity verification process to verify identity of at least one of the user or the mobile access device; and tracks driving behavior of the user based on (i) whether the service application is permitted to be executed, and (ii) a result of the identity verification process.

Abstract: An access system for a vehicle includes a receiver and an access module. The receiver is configured to receive a signal transmitted from a portable access device to the vehicle. The access module is configured to: generate a differentiated signal based on the received signal; up-sample the differentiated signal to generate a first up-sampled signal; obtain or generate an expected signal; up-sample the expected signal to generate a second up-sampled signal; cross-correlate the first up-sampled signal and the second up-sampled signal to generate a cross-correlation signal; based on the cross-correlation signal, determine a phase difference between the first up-sampled signal and the second up-sampled signal; determine a round trip time of the signal received by the receiver; and permit access to the vehicle based on the round trip time.

Abstract: A system and related method for processing messages may include one or more processors and a memory in communication with the one or more processors. The memory may include a communications module, a deduplication module, and a message processing module. Abstract: A system and method for attaching two automotive cooling modules together is provided. A first cooling module has a tab extending outwardly therefrom, the tab having an aperture extending therethrough. A second cooling module has a backwall and one or more flexible prongs extending in a first direction from the backwall and through the aperture of the tab in a snap-fit attachment. The tab is spaced from the backwall when the one or more prongs are attached to the tab. The second cooling module also has a boss extending in a second direction from the backwall, wherein the boss has a receptacle aligned with the aperture of the tab. In the event of damage to the one or more prongs, the one or more prongs can be removed, and a fastener can be fastened through the aperture of the tab and into the boss.
