摘要： A harness for securing more than one part of a vehicle to a station comprising a tether and a U-lock. The U-lock includes a tubular body and a solid shackle. The body has a pair of aligned holes in the wall and a locking mechanism. The shackle is a U-shaped, solid rod, where one leg has a bent foot that fits into one aligned hole and the other leg has a shaped foot adapted to be captured by the locking mechanism after being inserted into the other aligned hole. The tether includes a length of flexible material and a cuff. The length is a braided cable or a chain, and is sheathed. A hardened steel cuff is rotatably connected to the one end of the length. The cuff has a number of configurations of openings through which components of the U-lock are inserted before the U-lock is assembled. A loop is connected to the other end of the length and is sized to permit the cuff, but not the U-lock, to pass through.

摘要： A bicycle lock bracket for use with a lock that has an elongated portion with a free end when the lock is open. The bracket includes at least one spline on the elongated portion and a body fastened to the bicycle frame. The spline is either integral with the elongated portion or is on a collar affixed to the elongated portion. The body includes a hub with an opening for receiving the elongated portion. At least one groove in the inner wall of the opening mates with the spline. If there is more than one groove, they are spaced equidistantly about the opening. The elongated portion is prevented from traveling completely through the opening by a shoulder on the collar or a stop at the end of at least one groove. The body includes a seat for fastening the body to the bicycle frame.

The anchor device includes an internal member, an external member, and a securement for securing them together. The internal member includes a right angle portion inside the portable article that is approximately parallel to the inside wall. The external member has a clamping surface that abuts the outer surface of the portable article. The external member has an aperture into which the internal member fits and is secured either permanently or removably. The preferred removable securement is a screw that extends through the external member and into a threaded hole in the internal member. The securing device denies access to the screw when engaged with the external member. The external member provides an anchor for removably attaching the security device.

摘要： A locking arrangement configured to secure portable equipment includes a tubular lock having a pair of locking arms projecting from a face of the lock body. Each locking arm has a shank portion and a wing portion, the wing portion extending from the end of the shank at a right angle thereto. Each wing has a substantially flat surface. The locking arms are disposed adjacent to one another, and in the unlocked configuration, the wings of both arms are in parallel opposition such that their flat surfaces substantially meet. In the locked configuration, the wings are parallel to each other but extend in opposite directions outside the envelope. This opposite orientation of the wing members prevents the lock from being withdrawn through the locking port. Moreover, if the two shanks are seated within a port whose dimensions closely match those defined by the shanks themselves, rotation of the lock will be substantially prevented.

One embodiment includes a generally U-shaped ring with a hollow cylindrical crossbar that sits within a cavity in a block mounted flush with a concrete surface. One end of each of a pair of legs fits into the crossbar and acts as a bearing on which the ring pivots. The legs extend through the block into the concrete as an anchor. Another embodiment includes a generally U-shaped ring that is pivotally mounted in a block. Anchor bolts extend through holes in the block into the concrete surface. A rounded cover is secured to the block, denying access to the anchor bolts, and includes a cavity so that the ring lays horizontally within the cover when not in use.

摘要： A cable lock and complementary bracket for securely attaching the cable lock to a bicycle frame when not in use. The bracket has an attachment portion that mounts the bracket to a frame strut and a seat with a cavity into which the lock head of the cable lock fits. The cavity is funnel shaped to limit movement between the lock head and bracket. An arm on the bracket includes a tongue that extends into a groove in the lock head to securely retain the lock head in the bracket. The tongue is biased into the groove and is manually removable by bending the arm to allow removal of the lock head from the bracket.

摘要： A U-lock keyway protector comprising a cylindrical tube mounted for rotation on a U-lock crossbar. The keyway protector generates enough friction against the crossbar to allow only manual rotation, and it provides a secure grip for ease in rotation. A keyway aperture allows access to the U-lock keyway when in an unprotective position and denies access when in a protective position. When the U-lock is engaged, a shackle leg extends through a shackle slot, preventing longitudinal movement of the keyway protector along the crossbar. A lip at the edge of the keyway protector limits the distance that the keyway protector can be slipped onto the crossbar and eliminates alignment problems.
