    摘要: A retaining element for use with elastic sheet material is disclosed. In one form, the sheet material can be provided as a bag (100) having first and second side walls (102, 104). The retaining element can be in the form of an elastic strip attached to one of the side walls. The retaining strip (120) can comprise a heat-unstable activatable material such that it can be applied to the bag in a deadened condition wherein the strip is set and subsequently heated to transition to an activated condition wherein the retaining element is elasticized to provide an elasticized article which can have a shirred appearance. The retaining element can have various configurations and can be activated by various methods.

    摘要: Provided is a plastic bag including a live elastic strip that, in the elastic strip's normal condition, contracts thereby constricting an opening of the bag to assist in retaining the bag to an object. The elastic strip includes a first region that is continuously attached to a sidewall of the bag between a first side edge and a second side edge of the bag and a second region that remains unattached to the sidewall. The attached region does not contract but instead forces the portion of the sidewall to which it is attached to pucker into a serpentine path. The unattached region does contract causing the portion of the sidewall to which it is adjacent to bunch together. Also provided is a method for manufacturing a plastic bag that involves stretching a live elastic tape and continuously attaching a region of the stretched tape to a web of plastic material.

A catheter advancer is slidably integrated with a base to guide advancement of a catheter linearly along the insertion path of the needle and catheter. A safety feature is engaged by a movable component moving from a first position to a second position, such movable enabling relative movement between the base and catheter advancer and/or catheter assembly, rotation of the needle about its length axis, and/or minor advancement of the catheter assembly to sheath the tip of the needle. A package manager coupled to the client VCS to download the second version of the software package from the server based on the newer metadata then installs or updates newer releases of software packages as available from the distribution server.

    摘要: A virtual machine manager (VMM) provides an emulated printer to a guest operating system. The virtual machine manager is configured to receive a printer mechanism type, receive an output type, and configure the emulated printer according to the printer type, printer mechanism type, and output type. The VMM, in one embodiment, also provides a virtual communication channel over which a guest operating system may identify and communicate with the emulated printer. The guest operating system installs a printer driver corresponding to the emulated printer, prints an object to the emulated printer via the virtual communication bus, and the VMM creates a print image of the object before communicating the print image with a target destination.
