    摘要: Techniques for retrieving data blocks are provided. In one aspect, a storage fabric address of a controller associated with a data block is retrieved by a node. If the node is on the same storage fabric as the retrieved address, the data block may be retrieved over the storage fabric. In another aspect, a directory server maintains mappings of data blocks to storage fabric addresses of controllers associated with the data blocks. A request for the location of the data block includes the storage fabric address of the associated controller.

    摘要: Apparatus and methods related to negative differential resistance (NDR) are provided. An NDR device includes a spaced pair of electrodes and at least two different materials disposed there between. One of the two materials is characterized by negative thermal expansion, while the other material is characterized by positive thermal expansion. The two materials are further characterized by distinct electrical resistivities. The NDR device is characterized by a non-linear electrical resistance curve that includes a negative differential resistance range. The NDR device operates along the curve in accordance with an applied voltage across the pair of electrodes.

In one embodiment, a video wall support system may include a first frame of support members (12) to support an array of monitors (16) and a second frame of monitors (18) to support a touch-enabling optical system (40, 42). The first frame of support members (12) may support the array of monitors (16) such that display screens of the monitors (18) are substantially aligned in a first plane. The second frame of support members (14) may support the touch-enabling optical system (40, 42) such that the touch-enabling optical system (40, 42) may detect a user touch location through a second plane formed by the second frame of support members (14). This second plane may be substantially parallel to the first plane. The second frame of support members (14) may be disposed a distance from the first frame of support members (12).
