    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices supporting a data model for emissions analysis are described. Some database systems may store emissions data and support a sustainability application. The sustainability application may display reports that track and analyze data related to carbon emissions. In some cases, underlying data for a report is missing from the database system. The system may support extrapolation techniques to estimate the missing data and aggregate the underlying data—including the extrapolated values—according to a data schema of the database to calculate fields in a report. In some cases, a single data record may be used to generate multiple reports. The system may send one or more results to a user device for display in a user interface (e.g., in one or more dashboards). Additionally or alternatively, the system can display underlying calculations (e.g., report calculations, extrapolation calculations, etc.) in the user interface to support auditing activities.

    Abstract: A multi-cloud private communication set-up service enables scalable private connectivity between producers and consumers residing within different public cloud environments. A producer publishes metadata information about a resource within the public cloud environment where the producer resides. The public cloud environment of the publisher is monitored for tagged metadata about new resources. Identified metadata is used to configure a producer-side private link service to a private communication link, and metadata information about the configured producer-side private link service to the private communication link is published within the public cloud environment of the producer. The metadata is identified and used to configure a communication path to the consumer based on a combination of the private communication link, leveraging native multi-VPC network connectivity capabilities between virtual private clouds residing within a public cloud environment, and virtual private network (VPN) tunnel connectivity between the public cloud environments of the producer and the consumer, so that the configured private communication path may be used by the consumer to access the resource from the producer.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for data packaging at an application server are described. According to the techniques described herein, a device (e.g., an application server) may receive a link to a data stream package that defines metadata of a data source and an import schedule associated with importing streaming data from the data source to a data target associated with the application server. The device may install the data stream package based on the received link and import the streaming data from the data source according to the import schedule based on installing the data stream package. The device may then map, based on the metadata of the data source defined in the data stream package, a set of source data fields of the data source to a set of target data fields of the data target.

    Abstract: A client may transmit an authentication request to a server. The server may initiate a key agreement process using a short-lived private key generated at the server and a public key of the device, generate a shared secret, and derive a symmetric key. The symmetric key may be used to encrypt a random challenge. Further, the server initiates a key agreement process for the client using the partial private key that was generated for the client and the short-lived public key generated at the server. A partial key agreement result and the encrypted random challenge may be transmitted to the client. The client may complete the key agreement process using the partial key agreement result and a respective portion of the private key. The client may derive the encryption key and decrypt the random challenge. An indication of the random challenge may be transmitted to the server, which authenticates the client.

    Abstract: A relational database system may receive, from a client, a query for a data object of a first type. The system may be configured to store a plurality of data objects of a second type such that each data object of the second type is associated with a respective data table and a respective value of a key prefix of an object identifier field. The key prefix may result in an upper limit of data objects supportable by the system. The system may determine that the query is indicative of the data object of the first type of a plurality of data objects of the first type that share a key prefix value such that the upper limit is exceeded. The system may identify a result based on determining that the query indicates data object of the first type and return a query response that indicates the result.

In one implementation, a method comprises receiving user input specifying an initial object and a target object; identifying a plurality of directionality relationships associated with the initial object, the target object, and one or more junction objects that link the initial object to the target object; generating, based on the plurality of directionality relationships, a query stack comprising a plurality of queries linking the initial object to the target object; and executing the query stack to retrieve data stored in the target object.

    Abstract: A database with virtual partitioning. A computer system used to implement the database receives a request for a database operation to be performed on data stored in a portion of the database, where the data has a group of logical partitions (e.g., tenants of a multi-tenant database), and where the portion of the database is not further physically partitioned. The computer system identifies a virtual partitioning scheme for the database operation, the virtual partitioning scheme defining sub-groups of the group of logical partitions. The computer system then performs the database operation for the sub-groups defined by the virtual partitioning scheme. Multiple virtual partitioning schemes can be active at the same time, and virtual partitioning schemes can be created dynamically in some instances.
